very very fun movie. great over the top action flick done very artfully, with good acting and darn nice stories and themes that touch on each other just enough to tie it up into one nice package. all the girls with machineguns, quite brilliant!  and i have to agree with monty about the rourke comment. dunno if we'll see him rebound like travolta, but it was a great move for him for sure. _______________ this is the internet, be serious damn it! This movie isn't what I expected it to be, but being different I really enjoyed it. I've seen it twice now, great movie, probably the best comic book adaptation to-date as far as accuracy is concerned. The stories don't intertwine however the heroes in the three main stories were at the bar at the same time. . . Basically, the three stories didn't intertwine. They were all separate stories taken directly out of the original Sin City graphic novels. The movie consisted of three stories out of quite a few stories in the book. In my opinion, it was perfectly adapted screenplay from the book to movie screen, I loved it a ton. There's actually a time line, the last thing that happened was Marv getting executed and before that, well Marv pretty much killing Frodo. This comment was edited by Fire on Apr 19 2005 10:38pm. |

I loved it, but I was glad that I read the books before-hand. The scenes are all shot just like the book, as well, which was very awesome. Couple of minor things they left out / changed, but otherwise, great film. Just note: it's a very different movie. Nice usage of color as well. Enjoy with some popcorn, a soda, and some of Mad Anthony's Hot Sauce and you'll be right at home. _______________ Captain Barkeep. |
