Just remembered i posted here lol. Btw, yes i was aware of the lawsuit issued against them, and the fight over the name. However, the reason i didnt mention it was because WWE initially lost the 1st settlement. Later they were able to reclaim their WWF nametag, and still own rights to it even today. They choose not to use it, as clearly they aren't a federation as much anymore. Gearing more now to entertainment. I saw this quite some time ago on several wrestling sites. Should be able to verify if anyone wants to check. **update after checking once again, i wasnt able to find any articles on it anymore. Strange because i know i saw quite a few. I did find however that neither own the domain rights to wwf.com anymore, someone else snuck up on it and took it when it was made available. lol _______________ Whatcha gonna do when the Rodster runs wild on you!? Why in the world would you expect "anyone" to associate WWF with wrestling a few years ago? The wildlife foundation was created two years before the wrestling association as well. There's no injustice done, the wildlife had it first. |

the WWF -dispute was between the World Wrestling Federation and the World Wildlife Foundation.. This is a fact. But think about it.. You're a nature loving guy/gal and donate some money for the WWF.. So to avoid conflicts like those, they had to change the name.. I really don't care what they're called, or what they were called.. LOL Not sure how this turned into a "Whats happened with WWE" topic But this i do know. WWE is indeed drama...of course. No one can really deny that its soap opera for men lol. However, its not really much different than anything else on tv. Its entertainment, hence why they dont use the WWF name anymore, its not really a federation like it used to be. A lot of people just dont understand that anymore. When watching WWE, you should expect the strangest storylines to happen lol, i do. Thing is, i dont really watch it much anymore either.I watch it occasionally when i know Hulk Hogan will show,and thats pretty much it lol. Well put: The WWE is simply Soap Opera nothing more nothing less Instead of brain cancer and weeks in coma we get faked injuries and rivalry, and how many makeovers has the undertaker had? I don't really want to see anyone really get hurt, there is no entertainment in that at all. I you like the UFC then it is there for you, if your sadistic. Can we get a show where we torture pathetic kittys too, no that wouldn't be right. So we can watch grown men that are fighting, for a purse mind you, and supposed rivalry that is totally hyped up by media and advertising. None of it is real. You see boxers have their little spats at weigh ins and do you know why they give each other hugs at the end of the fight? Its called training. You can't bring yourself to hurt someone unless you can convince yourself that you hate them first. Just facts people. You show me two guys that never fought a pro bout before in their lives and one was banging the others wife, sister, and mom then that is a real rivalry and we will see a real fight. Til then its grown men trying to make a little money off their bodies instead of their brains like the rest of civilization. Acting is a harsh term I've always felt, as are "fake" and "scripted." Sure, they don't really thump each other in the face, but this is suspension of disbelief, what many other shows use in different ways.
