Anybody here a member of the 501st or thinking of becoming a member?
I've wanted to become a member for some time now and as soon as my Boba Fett armour gets here I should be able to become a full member, (with luck). For those unfamiliar with the 501st, it is a costuming community that mainly focuses on the Emperial and other bad guys from Star Wars, such as Stormtroopers, Bounty Hunters, Tusken Raiders and Sith to name a few. The 501st often "Troop" in their costumes at various events like store promotions, DVD releases, children's hospitals, sci-fi and comic cons. They are a non profit organization so money raised from these events goes to various charity organisations. 501st charity If you are a member let us know and tell us what it's like to "Troop with the 501st." it really is tempting to join. The only problem is I see a good costume like that costing quite a bit, and I"m living on a budget these days, haha, but who knows, maybe I'll figure something out. |
