Because i'm such a lazy waster, I can't be bothered to individually thank everybody that congratulated me on becoming a Knight... so I decided to make this post!  Thing is guys... you have no idea how much in means to me to have actually become a Knight after my past. As most of you well know, I was once a JAT, and I was banned from the Academy on more than one occassion. I've been vulgar and arrogant, i've betrayed people's trust, i've let people down, and i've basically been a pain in the ass for longer than anybody should be. Basically, until recently, i've been a total jackass. I think maybe you guys should know just what it is that actually made me like that... basically, I had a problem with drinking and drug abuse. I used to be drunk basically every day, and I did alot of drugs, including some hard stuff like cocaine and acid. It took me 3 years to actually realise that I was hurting people close to me, including my ex-fiance, my family, my friends, and even you guys here in the JA. But ultimately, the one person I was hurting more than anyone else was myself. It took me until last Autumn to realise this. As of nearly 2 months ago, i've been completely dry of drinking, drugs, and smoking. I thought i'd wind up getting depressed or something, but it turned out to be the best thing i've ever done. I can honestly say, for the first time in a long time, that i'm truly happy. Alongside the support of my family and friends, I couldn't have gotten out of the hole I dug for myself, if it wasn't for you guys in the Academy. For not judging me for my past actions, for believing I can be a good Knight for the Academy, and for being such a cool crowd, all I can do is thank you from the bottom of my heart... even Aratan... Although, i'd especially like to thank T. Siduro, Bambi D'Kana (Queenums!!), Wolfwood, Jaiko D'Kana, Monty, La Magra, and Virtue, for basically getting me interested in being the best I can be in JKA, and for helping me believe in myself. Better late than never... I'm glad to hear that you were able to conquer your addictions. I certainly know what it's like to go through it. I am really proud of you JJ. You have come along way since i first met you here. You not only make us laugh but you know when its time to be serious. But most of all you changed for the RIGHT reasons. It takes guts to admit that the choices one made were wrong. It takes Character to act upon that realization and change.  you didn't thank me haha just kidding. seriously though, i've known JJ since he went absolute crazy a while ago, and I hated him. couldn't stand him. thought he was a black mark on humanity. and yet somehow through the years my opinion has changed. he's become a good guy, he's a laugh a minute, and now i consider him one of my close friends in the academy. i'm proud of you mike, just don't forget that it's a lifelong thing. we don't want you to go anywhere ever again!
