thanks for the clarification. I mean, if I was a jedi with no lightsaber, id be powerful in the force. but if I killed you, and took your saber, and your saber skills, then id be even more powerful. and unless the saber is stuck to your arm (like kimi's bones), then the next person i take over, will be just as strong! Since im exhausted and can't think straight, ill just point out the problem in the last part of your argument. Quote: What would he need such a high powered body for? I bolded the parts that got to me. You're saying at the beginning, that even if Kimimaru's body is superior to Sasuke's body, since orochimaru is only as powerful as he is in his normal body (sannin), he wont be able to use kimimarus blood limit, his bones. but you then went to say that hed use sasuke to get the techniques... and hed use Sasukes blood limit, the Sharingan. So... theres a logic error in your argument. Before I start, I will say that I havent seen all the episodes recently (or read the manga in that arc recently), so I forget the details. I didn't read the manga so i'm not sure how that goes, but in the Anime he has used that ability. The black fire that burned through the rock toads stomach. Also, it is said that the roots of the Uchiha clan are in the Hyuuga clan. Basically, its said that the sharingan derived/evolved from the Byakugan. for combat. Well, on more than once occaison (it starts in the show before Jiraya saves the day and some flashbacks from time to time) where we see the scene of when Itachi killed the Uchiha clan. He then goes and explains why he's much stronger than Sasuke (not enough hatred, etc). Well, its also the eyes. But you won't understand that, and I'm not going to give away a pivital moment since you haven't read the manga. It should be appearing in the anime in a few weeks... its at the end of the flashbacks where Sasuke is reminiscing on what happened that fateful day. Interesting line... you know, "Foolish little brother, if you wish to kill me, hate me, detest me, and survive in an unsightly way. run... run..." then im gonna leave it at that (he says some things before and afterwards that makes it important to whats going on in the anime now... sasuke vs naruto fight for those people not following). Itachi IS above Sannin level. He's more powerful than Orochimaru. He even admits it that he hasnt tried to capture ITachi's soul, is because hes stronger than him, and therefore, would kill him. with one hand. blindfolded. (well, maybe not, but thats what im guessing the fight would end up being). But Sasuke has tricks up his sleeves. He learnt Gokakyuu no jitsu (fireball technique) in it seems a week (in the manga anyway. not at that part yet), and he masters the Chidori, Lee's speed and some taijitsu in a month. Sasuke is stronger, or atleast has more potential than we can imagine. Its amazing the power of lonliness (it almost drove naruto to be like gaara. Made gaara what he is, and its what drives Sasuke to try and kill Itachi). Im sorry, but this is going to be a spoiler to make the argument about Sasuke having potential similar to Itachi. After ITachi killed the family, he has a talk with Sasuke. In that, he says somethign like "after today, there will be three people with the potential to get these eyes" or somethin glike that. he was referring to the kaleidascope sharingan. Im assuming that means Itachi, Sasuke, and someone else (kakashi? probably not though. Maybe Shisui) Point is, Itachi has acknowledged Sasuke's potential, and I think thats why he didnt kill him. Orochimaru saw this in Sasuke (or atleast saw the hatred in his eyes), and decided to give it a shot. So he gave him the cursed seal. Quote: I also don't believe that Orochimaru would prefer a healthy Kimimaro over Sasuke. Orochimaru's goal is to master every single technique there is, which leads to his desire for sharingan and the ability to copy them from people. The desire for a strong-boned body like Kimi's would be a distant second. True. if I were Orochimaru i wouldn't prefer Kimimarou over Sasuke. But theres only one problem with your point here. Kimimarou is about... 50x stronger than Sasuke. at least. If Kimimaru was at full health when he faught naruto. Naruto probably wouldn't have been able to get to sasuke. If he did, he would have killed Lee. If Lee survived when Gaara showed up, Gaara wouldn't have been much chanse. Even if the fight whent exactly like it did, Gaara was saved when Kimimaru died. Basically, it did say, somewhere, that Orochimaru thinks that he desires Kimimaru's body above all else. But I think, he does as his next container, because of the bones. When Kimimaru started to die off, it was 100% Sasuke. In Orochimarus mind, this is what would have happened. 3rd killed my arms. Kimimaru got better. Use Kimimaru as a container. 6 years later (or however later), once Sasuke has matured (like Kimimaru did, keep in mind), and once Kimimaru's body started to deteriorate, hed transfer to Sasuke, and take the world by storm. Oh Yeah, and Kimimaru's strong-boned body is only the outside. His 'perfect' body... well, the reason why, is because its got a self sufficient defense system. And even if you fall 1000 stores into ground, youd just recreate your bones instantly. Kimimaru's body is the best in the series, because of his bones. I think i addressed most, if not all, of the problems/questions. Anything more? Edit: PS: I can't wait until its the end of the fight... man... Well, Im under the impression that Itachi has the sharingan on. Always. the only time he didnt have it on in the manga/series, is after mimarou wouldnt stand too much of a chance. hes leaving the fight with Jiraya: hes tired, and needs to rest. Of course, in the precurser to his leaving from Konoha he doesnt have it on, but who knows. Basically, yeah, Itachi could kill Orochimaru, so Kimimaru wouldnt stand a chance. Now, the Amaterasu is what annoys me. Because we see Itachi using the Tsyukuyomi against Kakashi (and Sasuke, multiple times). In one of the translations (either manga or anime), as Itachi's leaving the fight with Jiraya, he says "and once my eyes develop the Amaterasu" or something very similar, as in the Amaterasu is the next step in the Sharingan (of course, this would make sence that Itachi can't get it. Orochimaru always said to sasuke you've got more potential than he does... so im guessing that Sasuke will be able to get it and Itachi won't. as long as Sasuke isnt taken over by Orochimaru). Sharingan is more powerful in battle, but the thing that the Byakugan does do, is the 359 degree vision, piercing vision for 50 meters (in combat), and scout vision (Hinata scouted 1 km ahead once), but it also lets you see the chakara system, so if you can do the juuken, byakugan is essential.
