As far as it is known to me, we have had a JA movie project started in the past, but not with the skill and dedication shown here. Say thank-you to Scythus for being persistant in getting me to post this.  We are running a project to create a movie in JA, using the game, actors and a cameraman. Firstly, our IRC channel on quakenet is #ja-movie, and we have a few bots (L and JAMoviebot and Fishbot  ) to keep us company. Big thanks to Gradius for providing a server for us!About The Project: The Story is NOT based on people from our Academy, but the familiar characters of Kyle, Jaden, Luke and a new bad guy. We are using fraps to take movies of scenes in-game, then bringing them out and editing them into one long movie. This means that actors, cameramen and mappers are essential, and we are lacking actors and mappers specifically, but another cameraman would be nice. We also are in great need of voice acting, as Jaiko is the only one who can do this so far. When Setementor finishes the site, there will be lots of info there, as well as some WIP shots when we get them. At the moment we have various members who are actors, mappers and cameramen: Kitmitsu Illian D'Kana Jaiko D'Kana Urded mojohojojomo Angelos Anakin Skywalker Urded who is mapping for us has created our opening scene, and has done a few others. There will be about 10+ maps to do in total, some bigger than others, so mapping is essential. I have a small suggestion... use demos and then make them into jpgs, and then assembling them in a program like Quake Video Maker. Yes, it's harder, takes longer time, but the end result is better. And you can use different angles, ranges, etc, when using demos. If you want more in depth explanation, or want some video cfgs scripted, gimme a shout. |
