It's that time again. 1:45 in the morning, Christmas day.
For me it is now Christmas. Every year I find myself sat here, at my computer desk, wishing all my friends and family, that are too far away to contact personally, a merry crimbo. As depressing as it is, it is tradition and I wouldn't change it for the world. The Academy has traditions at Christmas, such as remembering Vladarion, having fun and lightening our load with some light gaming! How many Christmas' have gone by since the Academy was formed? Three or four, maybe? Every year we lose touch with some of our friends for a week or two, we forget old grudges, we lighten our load a lil' and we tend to get an extra few minutes on the server just to chat for a bit longer than usual. Last Christmas someone I knew got a little upset over something, so I stayed on MSN until 3 in the morning on Christmas Day. I'm sure a lot of the other members here have done something or will do something like that this year. I'm sure a few will have done last year, and the year before. In fact, I'm fairly sure that good deeds were flying around everywhere last year. Since then, there's been new friendships, new people, the losing of old friends and the surfacing of grudges. With that in mind. Can I just have a small request? Could everyone just, for a moment, remember that everyone here has a life outside of the Academy. I'm not making excuses, I know I've not exactly been the most productive Article writer. (And don't try to deny it.) Now, as rude as it sounds, I don't care whether or not you celebrate Christmas. I don't care if you're single, homosexual, overweight, underweight, in a family of 54 or in a family of 2. I really don't want to know if you don't like Christmas, and it doesn't matter too much if you do! I wouldn't be missing a large part of my life if I didn't know that you celebrate Christmas in a perculiar way, either. Believe it or not, my only connection to a lot of people here is jk3, this site and the occasional MSN chat. All of this doesn't mean that I don't care about you all. I just want you all to have a good day tomorrow/today. We're all human, we all have feelings and we all know how to smile and how to laugh. I know what its like to be upset, and especially what its like to be upset on a day when you're meant to let everything go and be happy. Christmas, for example. So just for tomorrow/today; take it easy; have a laugh; look after yourself; look after your loved ones and if you are feeling alone. Grab me on msn or something. I'm gonna be on at about 6-7pm till late so if you are gonna be bored/alone then just grab me and we'll have a chat. I might not care much for christmas decorations, but i do care about everyone here. I've had such a good time and had a great experience that I will remember for the rest of my days. It might only be a website for gamers interested in JK3. But to some people, including me, its more than that. Once again, for your sake, have a good time tomorrow/today. I wanna know what everyone got up to and if ANYONE comes back to me damaged, hurt or in anyway unhappy. I will not be best pleased! I'm in no way a figure or authority here so i'm not ordering anyone about. Just, for me, please do yourself a favor. If you like playing a game, but don't get much time for it. MAKE TIME!
