The academy is a little bit on the dead side these days. Lack of active members, lack of interest and a dire lack of fun! Sure the oldbies and a few others are still hanging around trying to maintain that "TJA" feeling, but where is all the senseless sith bashing? The continuous battle between light and dark? The utter chaos caused by Sauce?
Virtues getting old now (hiring deputies to help him keep up and on his walking stick  ), and he's finding it hard having all the fun for us. I know I can't talk about activity... I'm hardly ever on the servers these days and my fun meter has drizzled into the minus'! But I think now is the time for a comeback. Now is the time for everyone to get their sorry butts back on the server, be it jk2 or jk3, and whip up some major mass-laggage!
I want to see millions of GF's and GL's flying across the screen filled with random stories of day-to-day events, random arguments between Jaiko and Virtue and the occasional shocked silence as someone old/in-active comes on the server. I want to see the good old days, the days when the WP and Home server would have prime times, times when you couldn't get on because the server was full. So come on, give the D00bst3r some ideas, get on your favourite server, get on the forum, get to classes (even if you just want some fun). We need to get this place acive again, not let it slide down into some unmoralic cess pit! Scream it wi' me now! VIVA LA ACADAMIA!! (Or something along those lines) |

Great topic. Time for MY speech.
Look and ask yourself. Did you have fun while going to the classes? Was it fun to play with all the people? I am sure it was fun to wait for "Server is full" Awaiting Challenge message, just because then you know that our Academy is active. Well, it's not up to somebody else. Everything is up to YOU. You just need to spread the word of our Academy, and always search and recruit new students to our Academy. Even if it means getting banned from some non-skilled JA+ non-intelligent clan. As I said, it's up to YOU. If every one of you recruited only 1 member, our numbers would double. Do you realize that? Why don't you just go and recruit people then? Is it that hard to ask people if they are in the Academy, and tell them to sign if they aren't? It is not advertising. It is spreading the word. Advertising would be if this was a clan, but no. This is a community that helps people learn. See, I thought I won't learn anything. ANYTHING.. Just because I played JKA/JKO for years. And on the first, simplest class about JUMPING, boom, I learned something new. Then boom, in the next class, two more things learned. I was like a god on other servers, and when I came to The Jedi Academy I felt like a noob, just because everyone is so skilled. Coincidence? True coincidences are rare. So, what are you waiting for? Go look for people to join. We could EASILY bring back the old times. It all depends on you. Every each individual. And remember, if YOU fail at this, The Jedi Academy will fail. It will die a slow death that will last months, even years. Do you want to prevent it? I hope I helped some people realize how to bring back the old times. As I said, now it only depends on you.

I miss the old days. A lot of great times, great moments, great people, and greater friends. The staff maintaining order, arguing politics, etc. But then came the dark times, the time of the staff purge and the times that shortly followed.
Now without getting into a big debate over that sore subject it does warm me to see that people are actually interested in see this place come to life. I r00t or w00t that 100% of what's left of me because I do remember the great times and the great people but most of all the great friends I had here and I know others can have a simular experience and I hope they do. I'll log on if/when I can to say hello mostly to the new faces I seem to be finding here all the time now. However I must admit that with all the time and energy spent by alot of great people being wiped out "just because" instead of trimming the dead parts off while others who were just as dead (both before and after some of which even wear a banner proclaiming their survival after the flood which mocks the ones that fell) were raised up on hollow platforms of greatness. I would be surprised to see this place once again flourish the way it once did because everyones sacrifices have been soiled. So much blood, sweat, and tears of so many meant nothing that day. I honestly can't see anyone putting the same energy and love back into this place except the hungry and the ignorant. In closing, this was a decent article and I hope you all find what I once did here. I will cheer and congratulate anyone who is able to take the crutches out from under the academy and get the academy up and walking again. I take my hat off to DJ Sith for his great work with the site over the years, to cHoSeN oNe for his great work on his mods which have been a major part of the backbone of the academy in my eyes giving the admin. the power they need in order to control chaos, and to Virtue who has been probably been the most influencial person here with all of his great maps, skills, and ideas. I think the academy would have died if he wasn't here. Also to all those who continue the dream of the academy in actions (not in vain words) teaching classes, injecting fun ideas, and most of all being present and a friend to the next player. Best wishes to the Jedi Academy.

I have to say I haven´t been very full hearted about the Academy... I do use the server... Occasionally. But the game is inactive everywhere and I have to say I have rather used our empty clanserver than empty WP because I can at least play with admin. I know it shouldn´t really be the reason but yeah. Let´s do something! I offer my help in this matter and I hope we can bring the Academy back to life!
