Because I lack the creativity nor the time to keep coming up with them myself, especially in the event that the participants themselves cannot come up with one. I created this class per student request under condition I wouldn't need to be creative for it and the general impression in the thread was that the instructor would be a story teller, guiding students through it. I decided to create it, get some people to write stories for it and then be the story teller at the class. It's not up to me how a story is written; I just ask people to write some and if they are practical enough, I use them in my class. Whether a story is written to be dynamic or not is up to the author of it. Even though the events leading up to the class expected it to be a story telling class, when there is some time left over, we sometimes just grab some skins, choose some characters and make something up as we go along until the time is up. 
You're right about your idea though; it is a bit too large-scale for a class which has a varying number of participants each week. This comment was edited by Setementor on Aug 24 2008 09:36pm. |

Why do you need a story for roleplaying setementor?
Mostly roleplaying just occures at a given situation. You could assign roles, but the players should be 100% free to decide the actions of their role, in this way you get fun and dynamic roleplaying, and alot of interaction between the different characters ^^. In other words, players forge their own stories.. and this is also fun for character development and stuff... if you want to take it to a higher level :p. For example, (this would requires a huge amount of particpants to be fun) you could divide the particpants in 2 groups, the imperials and the Jedis. the playfield could be the jediacademy map. The bunker area would be home of the imps and the academy itself oculd be home of the jedis (and their students) in both parties you would have 2 game masters, they lead the events. Well I have another one .
-The last Stand.----Part 1---- After A long time the Sith was Destroyed. And all the Jedi has been separated . All the Jedi friends left the Alliance , They thought the Sith was destroyed. Everything was good , they left their friends with tears in the eyes . But after that 2 Jedi remained ,At the Academy . Then suddenly after 1 year A SITH appeared with an army of Stormtroopers . They have been Fighting with the sith for 2 days But they knew that alone they have no chance , so the young padawan Called all His friends To fight with the sith. They came , But it was to late , The Master had been kidnapped  .
And the stormtroopers stayed at the academy looking for the disappeared Jedi . When they came(The lost Jedi and his friends from academy) It was a DANGEROUS Battle . The stormtroopers spotted them And they had a battle . -The Last Stand----PART 2 After the battle with the stormtroopers , They wanted to save the master. So they made a plan. When they reached at the Sith's palace They meet a lot of more stormy's (Stormtroopers) . The batle begun again . But in the same time One of the Jedi wanted to save his master , so he told his friends to cover him and he left . When he reached at his master's cell after he freed his master , The Sith appeared . The master and his padawan have Been fighting the sith , After couple of hours they defeated the sith and meet with the Friends(The other Jedis) . And left the palace and got home . -The-Last-Stand-Final Part When they reached at the academy .They Made the JEDIORDER So they called all the Remained jedi in the galaxy and they lived happily ever after . Chars: Master The Padawan The 2 Jedi(Can be more if will enroll in this class) The sith Other chars.(For the reunion) I want to be one of the 2 Jedi or the padawan .

I don't know if I will be back in JA but i will try to return . Till then :
-------THE-SECRET-OF-THE-DINOSAURS------
It is a quiet day at the Bar. Some people was talking about their problems when SUDDENLY they heard a BOOM something exploded outside (In the Groove) Act 1---(The Groove) Just after the "BOMB" Exploded the people from the bar exited to see what is happening . Then suddenly after they tooked the lift outside a DINOSAUR appeared ( That monster that can be spawned ) When the people saw it ( Jedi , merc ... ) they fought with him , and they won . Act 2---( The time portal ) After they killed the monster they saw a time portal . They entered it and the portal got them on the same planet but Different time . (That could be another map . (Like its in the past .. You know what i mean) There they saw another 2 dinosaurs . They defeated the dinosaurs and after that a SITH appeared When he appeared he said ( HA HA HA you Are too weak to defeat me . I opened the portal to get you all here . And fight with you . HA HA HA ) after what he said this line he summoned like 10-20 stormtroopers and he vanished in the shadows. The Jedi and merc had made peace to defeat the sith and his army . but after this they will be enemies again . After they defeat siths army and another dino , they are going to hunt for the sith . Act 3 ----Hunting Down---- They Hunted the Sith with their Swoops , when they reached , at Sith secret place(Bunker) There it was like 20 stormtroopers , (2 at the entrance, 2 in the main hall , 5 in the medicine cabinet,1 in the bar,5 at the missile launcher,2 at the turret , 1 at the sniper,1at the elevator) So ,After the sith entered , They were fighting the Stormys , and looking for the sith , all over the place , and they didn't find him , So , After all the stormtroopers were dead , they have got to the bar , There , in the second chamber , It was the sith , with his apprentice , And the Sith , And the Master battled and the aprentice and padawan battled too After couple of minutes , the Master killed the sith , but the apprentice ran away .
The End Characters: Jedi(2-5) Sith(1) Apprentice(1) Merc(3-7) the stormtroopers(are spawned) I donno if its good for a roleplaying class , but let me know if its good .

My Storyline:
4 # Acts. Act1: Characters(Goodies) - Master of Students - Student Kyle - Student Misty Characters(badies) DarkSith The master of the students is showing them around their base and telling them how to use their sabers to help them fight against Justice. The DarkSith is working along side of the Master, he has fooled him and pretends to be on their team. The darksith gathers up there tactics and where they plan to invade to save Student- Emily. who's currently being held captive to the Darkside. They all train hard to become jedi's and to save Emily. Act2: Characters(Goodies)- Master, Students Kyle&Misty and the captured Emily. Characters(Badies)- Darksith, Lord Madness. Master and the students end towards Kingdom of Darkness, they go to the left side of the kingdom to try and force themselfs inside, trying to not be spotted. Darksith is currently giving the information to Lord Madness and the whereabouts of the Master and the students. The alarms Go OFF. Master tells the students to head back, its too damagerous. Misty listens but kyle is too stubburn and stays out of sight of his master but follows him hoping to help and save Misty. Act3: Characters(Goodies) : Master, Kyle Characters(Badies) : Darksith, Lordmadness, Darkfast,DarkEvil. The master trys to find the whereas of misty, he bumps into DarkSith, What!??? what are you doing here?, he pretends he's here to help him and he knows the location of misty. So the master follows Darksith, While Kyle following without them knowing. The darksith has led him to Lord Madness and they grap hold of the master and force him prisoner, the master has failed. Kyle see's in horror, knowing its all down to him. Lord Madness sends his scouts - DarkFast&DarkEvil to find if any intruders left to be found. Kyle supricely jumps out at DarkFast and they battle, DarkFast calls Evil for help, 2v1? Whats going to happen now.. Act4: Characters(Goodies) Master,Misty and Kyle Characters(Badies) Lordmadess, Darksith, Darkfast and darkEvil. The Battle continues... Kyle does a magificate jump to get upon a tall stone, darkevil chases him and shouts (Leave him to me!) darkevil and kyle fight, Dark as the upper hand, but suddently kyle manages to use his saber effectively and kills Darkevil, Darkfast Trys to escape and he trips, Kyle leaps from the boxes and ends their evilness. Kyle goes to the room The master is situated and un-ties him, What are you doing here Kyle its way too damagerous for you, Kyles says he defeated Darkfast and evil and hes here to help. They hear Screams ((HELLPP! ANYBODY!!) *Shut up BITCH* and then the screaming stops.. Kyle and Master run to the screams were and finds misty tied up with darksith and Lordmadness are, They say Omg how did you manage to get here? how did you escape, Kyle Responds im here to end your life i freed my Master now its time for you to free Misty, Darksith goes, i know all his moves ill handle kyle, you handle his master. They fight for long periods of time, the Master kills Lordmadness, and kyle is just about to have his life tuck away when his master manages to itturupted the fight and kills darksith from behind. So , I'll make some simple stories , because we are not many at the moment . So , How about this :
The Party : (its in 1-3 acts ) -1st act: Two Guys in a bar (master - student) speaking about the next REAL mission . Then suddenly A SITH comes and assault them . (Will be a fight a huge one )
But the master dies and the Sith runs away . -2nd act: The student follows the sith (without being seen) which will meet 1 stormtrooper (In the groove ) The student fights the stormtrooper and he wins(The student) -3th act : The student is speaking with Luke Skywalker when a ship arrives with the SITH . Then (the final battle begins ) In the classroom or duel room Luke and Student Fights the Sith . After some time Luke is hurt and leaves the battle . The Student , Fights the sith And after a HUGE FIGHT the student wins . Voila the 1ST story
