I've gotta say, from seeing Alien 1, 2, 3 and Predator 1 and 2, AvP wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I just didn't really like the storyline. (Space Marines would have been elite) The surprise very end was a nice slap in though. Still, I thought the battle would have been on a larger scale. Still a pretty good movie though. Be sure to check it out! |

and the 2 predators got pwned so easily cause htey were there with the ownage predator to take a trial , and since the humans took the guns , thenthey got owned . but she gave the gun back, cause with the gun , its really easy just to own sliens sneaking up , and they didnt even really have any melee weapons, the main pred did though, . so over all the movie was pretty gewd , but, well it was good, just i want dvd cause it'll be rated R with more violence, and you know violence ownz. with the shooting and slicing ,and the owwies. |

Yeah, but a really good action movie has better character development, less gappy storylines, and better fight scenes. Even the regular Alien and Predator movies were better than this one. People try and get something out of a movie like this, u wont have character development etc... its a all out action movie, and the Directer needs shooting in the head. The Movie explained why the Aliens were there and wot the predators was doin, Carve didnt need to research much, it tells u that a semi experienced Predator hunts with them _______________ If you add me to MSN, tell me who you are

I agree with what Mike said in totality. The movie had its purely awesome parts, and it had its low-points as well. I've been doing a lot of "research" and apparently a large number of scenes were cut against Anderson's wishes. Important scenes (such as a scene explaining why the Alien lifecycle was accelerated so greatly). Furthermore, it was originally slated to be rated 'R' but, three months prior to release, this was changed to PG-13 - again, against Anderson's wishes. Basically what I'm getting at here is... DIRECTOR'S CUT!! P.S. the predators were supposed to be newbies. This was their trial hunt. The one that pwnd was the most experienced of them all (one with greater experience is always sent on these "blooding rituals" - he just hadn't fought "hard meat" before - aka the Aliens. I've been a fan of the AVP franchise since the idea was concived about 12 years ago. While the movie did have a few good elements that I enjoyed I still feel that it was a waste of an oppertunity to make a far better film. I think the Predators dissapointed me most in the movie. Their mouths looked really stupid. They kept making these retarded tiger noises instead of the cool original sounds. That and the predators were all n00bs. They got killed like a bunch of newbie losers. Also the ending was just way too predictable and cliche. I think this just all proves that Paul Anderson is a god damn moron. He needs to stop making movies. Sure the man has some style but all he does is rip off all the elements from the other films.
