The JKA SDK assumes that you have Visual C++ 7.0 (.NET) or higher in order to easily use it. If you don't already have such, you can download the Express version of Visual Studio 2005 (VC++ 8.0) for free here: http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express/ _______________ ~Dav Proud Former Padawan of 3th |

Quote: Hmmm, I forget where I found this, but there is a program that will convert from 7.0 to 6.0 Yeah, I have that thing too. Used it for a while because Dev-C++ reads 6.0 projects quite happily. Quote: I'm not sure if I'm comfortable giving M$ all my personal information just to download a compiler... Especially considering you have to sign into Passport to do so, and Passport already has the same information... Not to advocate lying or anything, but there is absolutely nothing that really checks whether the information you supply is valid... maximum would be supplying a valid email address, and it's simple enough to get a throwaway email address. _______________ ~Dav Proud Former Padawan of 3th |

Quote: (Dev-C++ all the way!) Yeah, I prefer Dev-C++ as well, but the SDK comes with VC++ projects with all of the build settings configured, et cetera, so it's a nice resource. _______________ ~Dav Proud Former Padawan of 3th |

How come I never knew of any free version of VC++?? I mean, it's not like I paid for it (), and I rarely use it anyway (Dev-C++ all the way!), but STILL... _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |
