For those of us who have things like replacement sounds, or saber hilts, blades, and trails. Or if you've replaced Kyle's ugly mug in SP and really don't want to see him in multiplayer either. There's a little trick you can use to get your personal visual and audio mods to work on a pure server. (No, this doesn't work for those wicked moves mods where you butterfly instead of roll.) Start your own server from the single player menu. And once it's all loaded up, connect to the pure server of your choice through the console without disconnecting. This way you still have a reason to keep that badass set of saber trails you made even if noone else alive has them. ;> _______________ spirit's searing pain battlefield of broken glass fallen speak to me --Charon |

this may be a little off topic, but what is the best way to replace Kyle in SP and MP? I did it by making a pk3 file named kyle.pk3 with my own skin in it. That seemed to work fine (Except on a pure server where it put Kyle's skin on the model I had used for my skin [jeditrainer]) I was just wondering if there is a better way. Lian, you've got a red bowcaster blast? It it shaped any differently, or just recoloured?
Edit: And one of these days I'll remember what it was I intended to say the first time. ;> I wasn't actually aware of that one, and thanks for pointing it out. I only use it for my Saber model, blades and sounds, Kyle, and my stance colours. Grr, I figured this out before I read this. Oh well, might as well pass it onto others. 
One thing you cannot do is like, if you have the Red Wookiee Crossbow, when you charge it up it's red, but when you shoot it it's green. So not everything is replaced.  _______________ slorp |
