Arguably this should go under General Discussion, but it pertains to the tax code, and if that's not Crazy Stuff I don't know what is. I just learned that America spends 6.7 billion man-hours every year doing taxes. That's how complicated the tax code has become. The average American lives 77 years, or 674,982 hours. So we waste 9,926 entire lifetimes doing the taxes for just one year. Almost 10,000 liftimes wasted.  _______________ My signature is only one line. You're welcome. |

In one of my favorite books, Makers and Takers, there's a story of a guy in Germany during that period who went into a butcher shop with a huge basket of money just to buy some meat.
