Which 3D software do you use, and which do you think is the best for modeling game models?
I need to decide which one to take up. At the moment I have been exploring max, but I want to know if theres a better option.
So what do you think?

We are taught things about Maya at my school.. I have written/modified a few maya plugins to export data into a format I can use in game. Maya is pretty easy to use, and for programmers their API is pretty easy to use and MEL Scripting is so easy. :o

Started and still use the trueSpace series, though I'm moving to 3DS Max.

For game modelling, I'd use Gmax.
It's a shareware version of 3DS made especially for games.

Obviously, it doesn't have all of the functions and tools as 3DS, but has most of what you will need if you want to model for a game.

But since you already have 3DS, I'd stick with that. No point taking a step down the ladder. :)

I'd go 3D Studio Max. It's clearly the most professional. :D
