My friends just don't understand the JA, they dont get the honour or responsibility of it.If they are round when im playing in the JA then they will shout KILL him KILL him if im anywhere near someone! Is it just my friends? my friends and bro are like that ,we had a match online once ,and he hates multiplayer so much. only time he palys mutplayer is on an mmmorpg and he'll cancell that after like 2 mothes, 3 tops. and no one at school is a pc gamer.  |

Agreed Henkes, They are like "single player was fun but multiplayer is just the same thing over and over again" I tried to explain that its the community that I play the game with that sets it apart, But to no avail. It was an old friend of mine that gave me JK2 nearly 2 years ago now. I have to say, this game and it's follow up have changed my life. Whether you see it as a good or a bad thing. I was feeling really low at that point in my life, and just having a release, something to do. Something that made me feel, and yet didn't matter at the same time, it was what saved me. Sad I know. He is the only one who I have told about the academy. He thinks it is cool, although he would never join I am sure. Other than that, most people I know don't even know that I play computer games. My family definitely doesn't get it. _______________ A wizard did it. |

Hahaha aww, I guess they're not used to these kind of communities? Yesterday I told one of my girl friends that I play something called Jedi academy, I think it was the first time I felt weird or out of place. I tried to explain what it was about...jedis with sabers running around and stuff. Maybe it was the look on her face that made me feel like that.....uhm....ah well. The show must go on! |

I'm happy to explain to ppl about this place but most ppl I know don't undersatnd gaming let alone the community side of it. Luckily one of my bros and a few other family members play online games so I can chat to them about it. Well...to be honest, noone of my RL friends do know that im taking part in this community. Actually...only 4 ppl in RL do know that im spending my time with jk3. (including my mother =P) The friends and ppl that i know from the internet have all different opinions about the JA. Altought, they are all mature and intelligent enough to understand what we are doing and why we are doing it...most of them can be put into the "hardcore-gamer" category which means that they dont really care about helping others or anything like that...they play for the joy of pwning ppl and beeing better then others. The greatest part of those ppl has a sense for respect and wouldnt join the JA only to lame/flame/pwn others...but the thing is that they wouldnt join the JA in the first place, because its a waste of time for them...they rather enjoy winning over less experienced ppl instead of beeing nice to them. Then theres the other group of ppl i know...those are mostly just friendly and nice folks which hang around the servers now and then...they dont take the whole JA business too serious and just have a good time...they dont take winning or losing too serious neither.
