Is there a way of binding keys to stances. so one is for redm one for yellow and one for blue so that you dont have to scroll through all three? and would the JA could that as 'cheating', like binding lunges etc

Yeah you can argue things like, its not worth the effort an so forth, but remember it's much more enjoyable to play when you feel comfortabl with the controls.

I hated using WASD for the directional keys, I moved each finger over 1 key, so I use ESDF, overall there probably isn't "that" much difference but I feel way more comftable doing it this way.

Well, sometimes the key doesn't change the stance if you press the key twice very quickly. However, it isn't really much of a problem for me. The default bind is good enough.

I tried once to do something where I had a button that went forward in the cycle, and one that went backwards. I had to use the wait command because if you do it to quickly it won't change the stance. The problem is when the wait command was running, everything on my keyboard locked until it was up. So, honestly it's not really worth it.

Well, you could sorta find a hackish work-around, Im sure this will be grammatically incorrect, I haven't set a bind in forever but;

nextstance;nextstance

Along with the regular scrolling would allowing to get to any stance from any other stance (I think)

Although, this might be one of those illegal binds, I don't see anything wrong with it but whatever.

You can't bind stances, its now how that part of hte game code works, it works to cycle through the stances.

binding lunges, yes, that is a cheat which is not to be applied in the Academy

read the rules and you'll see:

If it's not naturally bound to a key in the game, don't do it. A custom keyboard config is fine if it makes you comfortable, but no binding combo moves (DFA, lunge, etc). This gives an unfair advantage and is considered cheating. In addition the use of a killtracker is not allowed on the servers.

To answer your first question, I honest to god don't know... someone else will answer though
