When I say I'm a Christian, I'm not shouting, "I AM SAVED", I'm whispering "I get lost". That's why I chose this way. When I say I'm a Christian, I dont speak of this with pride, I'm confessing that I stumble and need someone to be my guide. When I say I'm a Christian, I'm not trying to be strong, I'm professing that I'm weak, and I pray for the strength to carry on. When I say I'm a Christian, I'm not bragging of success, I'm admitting I've failed and can't ever pay my debt. When I say I'm a Christian, I'm not claiming to be perfect, my flaws are too visible. But God believes I'm worth it. When I say I'm a Christian, I still feel the sting of pain I have my share of heartaches, which is why I seek His name. When I say I'm a Christian, I don't wish to judge, I have no authority, I only know I'm loved. I dedicate this post to Darth_Mobility for helping me in my darkest times. _______________ Come on now, every Generation X boy wanted to be Luke Skywalker. You may see God as a person clad in white, with a huge beard who knows everything, sits on a golden chair, etc, etc... while I could see God as some kind of mystical power that only acts when needed, a feeling of comfort, joy, courage, etc... It's an opinion, and that is personal. Saying "you're wrong" is in my opinion just wrong... You can't press your beliefs on someone else. If this person chooses not to believe, it's their own case. I have been through many rough times in my life, and I don't beleive I would have had the strength to take it on myself. If it was not for his love, I would not be here today. If u take the time to think about it, which i can tell that you didnt, Jerry means to say that as a christian we understand that we are not good and that it is God's love which makes us better than we would without him, for without God we are nothing, my favorite one of the group and the one i think Jerry is refering to is When I say I'm a Christian, I'm not claiming to be perfect, my flaws are too visible. But God believes I'm worth it. Because God thinks were worth it he is willing to forgive us for all the wrong that we do and able us to live a forfulling life braced by his love.
