1. How can i add music for a waterfall/change the distance? If i do soundset/water_med i can hear it in the whole map. 2. I want to add texture for models that haven't got texture like landostatue, chair. I know the key is _remap and the path for the landomodel is textures/landomodel/landotexture. I put the texture into the model directory. In radiant i can see the texture but in the game it doesn't show. (It showed in the game before i format the hdd) Maybe i should put the texture picture into an other directory? And how can i add to the chair model? Because it has 2 texture images. _______________ "You suckers try to front like you've got the force But I'll slay like Vader sip you for a first course" - Beastie Boys |

They need to be in the exact same path they were in for JK2. And as for volume, there is no volume key, but there is a trick you can use. If you want the volume to be low, put one target_speaker there, but place it up high so the sound is more distant. If you want the volume to increase, just put more target_speakers in playing the same sound, this increases the volume as a whole. - Virtue. _______________ Academy Architect |

Did you put them into the correct file path? ie stuffjunk.pk3/textures/jk2textures/texture.jpg ? _______________ Padawan to the great Jacen Aratan! <Setementor> Scythus is a genius! 1) You need to put a target_speaker in front of the waterfall. The waterfall itself isn't what makes the noise (it can be, if you use a soundset, but soundsets on fx_runners arn't too reliable) so you use a target_speaker. Then just give it a key of "noise" and a value of whatever the noise is that you want the waterfall to make, plus the path to the sound file. Here's an example of the fields you should put into the target_speaker:- Key: noise Value: sound/ambience/waterfall_huge_distant.wav Then just make sure the "looped on" checkbox is ticked. 2) The models that havn't got textures are models that were used in JK2, that they forgot to remove from JK3. To get the textures on them (assuming you have JK2), just open up one of the assets files in your JK2 Base folder looking for the Model, the texture should be there aswell. Then, you simple rip it from JK2 and put it in a pk3 file for your JK3 base folder and bingo, it works. Hope this helps, good luck. - Virtue. _______________ Academy Architect This comment was edited by Virtue on Nov 16 2004 05:35pm. |
