 I havent played it yet but I have watched several videos of both cinematics and gameplay. And thusfar this game looks phenomenal. And I will be bold enough to say that I think An Empire Divided could give both Halflife2 and World of Warcraft a run for their money. The ONLY thing I had a problem with was the pay to play gig....not crazy about that and I know that WoW is the same way. But the graphics looked outstanding and the fact that finally you can almost live in the Star Wars universe just seemed incredible to me. Right now though I dont think my video card could handle this game...ill put my pc specs below if anyone is bored and wants to know lol. So, do any of you think that SW Galaxies: Empire Divided is worthy of game of the year? And for you who have played it, what do you think of it so far?PC SPECS: 2.4 Ghz Processor 512 MB Memory 60 GB Harddrive 32 MB Video (  ....soon to be upgraded to 64mb)Windows XP _______________ 4/20/2005----Left the academy because I did'nt feel welcomed. It's OK. I'd only recommend it if you were a HUGE Star Wars fan. Otherwise the shock value of "Wow, I'm in Star Wars!" wears off mighty quick. Also, the game lags quite a bit in cities. I have a 2.0 ghz Celeron, Radeon 9600 128 MB, and 1 gig of ram, and I only get around 6 or 7 fps average in the main cities. Once again, if you have a REALLY good computer and are in love with Star Wars, stay away. Edit: Also, the game was released in 2003. Unless of course you mean the expansion for game of the year... Yeah, the game can be alittle frustrating if all you do is grind for your Jedi. I just get on and have fun (Roleplay when you can). Star Wars Galaxies may LOOK good but it's just like all other MMORPG's a grind to the top and since Jedi have been out, it's just been a constant grind to reach Jedi. Oh and if you've played WoW, there's absolutely no comparison, the graphics, and gameplay are WAY better. I had the chance of playing the Open Beta and I fell in love with the game. SWG on the other hand was fun for the first two months. I made Master Creature Handler and first month that the game was released, I had 2 large houses, composite armor and 2 million credits on my account. It wasn't really a challenge, I felt like the whole time it was just really a competition to Master Professions first rather than actual role-playing. Just my two cents. |

runs fine on my Laptop, Dont believe all the crashes etc.. i have played it since last xmas and it has crashed no more than 4 times on me, the servers go down at the same time everyday for about 1 hr, once u know when it is, u will know when not to play. My System specs AMD 64 3400+ CPU 1024MB RAM ATI RADEON 9600 MOBILTY 128MB GFX CARD 200GB HD I Seriously suggest gettin 1024, it loads faster and u wont lag near starports, Coronet mainly. JTL is fun but remember it isnt needed to play SWG. ( it does save u waiting for transport ) Anyway i play on Bria Server and im almost Master BH, novice medic and almost teri kasi. They just shut the servers down for a couple hours in the morning to do maintancence. I lag sometimes when I'm goin into a city with a but load of ppl but thats about it.I can't remember the last time my server crashed. My system specs: 1800 mgh 60 gig hd 512 (RAM soon to be 700+) KT2 turbo motherboard ethernet/DSL connection (I'd recommend cable though) 164R G-force4 TI4200 Video card. I have been reading up ALOT the past day or so about SW: Galaxies. And honestly I'm gettin kinda iffy about buying the game based on what I've been reading about how people are having problems virtually in every aspect of the game between game down time, crashes, incompatabilty and all that stuff. Are any of you SW: Galaxies players having these problems? I dunno...maybe I should just wait till next summer like alot of people are saying on the Galaxies forums untill SOE and LA clean the bugs outta that. _______________ 4/20/2005----Left the academy because I did'nt feel welcomed. |

Bah, yeah well it is celeron...I bought this thing BEFORE I knew celerons were not that great....guess I learned the hardway....as for the new vid card its a used gforce4 64mb Im getting well basically for free so I cant complain much but I dont think I really want to put a 128 on an 4x agp slot and with a celeron processor. The Game is awsome. To get the full effect, I suggest you have a kick a$$ system. I stick to RolePlaying when I'm on. Just makes it much more fun. The New expansion that just came out JTLS is AWSOME. When your in a space battle, you can target certain systems on a ship to disable it or just kill them outright. You can board ships, take entire groups onto a freight ship. I'll shut up now....check it out. Im on the Flurry server.
