When I make maps, and I go to the .bsp menu and compile, there's always some error stating that the map file that I'm trying to compile cannot be found. Does anyone know my problem, or at least give me a walk through of how to compile/save a map.

Yeah, you do have to -meta it first when you're doing a novis test.

But you don't if you're doing a final/fullvis/full light compile.

oh yes and erm

I found that it's a good idea to always do a:
(BSP) - meta compile first, then another compile

if you do this, the erorr no longer occurs

the first time, always doe a (BSP)-meta compile, then another compile, this works :)

Make sure you save the map in the default directory before you compile.
