For a long time I was interested in information about the nuts-and-bolts of starting a cult. It's easy enough to understand how a functioning cult keeps going, but how do you get started in the first place? Sure, your followers recruits more followers, but what about on Day One when you don't have any followers yet? I Googled this one for a long time, and sadly all the pages with information about cults were, curiously, against cults. Go figure that one.
