I know that using 2 sabers is kool n stuff,

but is it just me that thinks that Anakin used 2 to fight Dooku, just because OB1 was down, and the film needed to show off how good he is with a blade, ie. so good he can use two like all the others use one.

and since that fight scene, the games n stuff have run with it and made it into a new style of fighting,

i mean you can say the same for Mauls double ender because he carris it all the time in the first film.

I like Poland, actually. On the History exam, whenever the answer to a multiple-choice question isn't obvious (i.e. Which country's revolt started as a trade union?), the answer's usually Poland. :D

And btw...i completly agree with Janiriki on this one.
I hear ppl complaining about this game a lot...how much luck is involved, how bugged it is, how incomplete and broken it actually is...but the jedi knight series have created something very unique.

Well, it is unique in terms of weapons, but come on. Who likes a game where one slash to the foot could be nerfed and kill you? Thank god they have MP damages, or LucasArts would have a long year ahead of them.

Darth Maul's saber was actually a training saber that he modified for use fighting two opponents

While the original saber styles from JKO feel pretty good, the new styles, like everything else in JKA, lack that particular polish. The dual sabers especially look to me like silly flourishes more than useful fighting.

Although the saber styles don't carry as much finesse, and or effectivness as RL swordplay does, that they are there just goes to show that the developers have woken up to the reality that this game is primarily about person to person swordplay. now without shields, or fancy blades (eg polearms, sai/main gauche etc) it leaves you with about 4 options. Staff (being double bladed in this case), spear (not used as it was generally given to "unskilled" troops), Single sword & dual sword. The power balance between them isn't tooo far off the mark as is, but could be a little better from some advice from some serious swordsmen/women.
and yes I agree duals have little finesse ingame, and although harder to master, are very effective when mastered ... don't see why this couldn't have been incorperated ingame, but then I'm not a programmer either:D
In short I think the developers have made a good start in a new field of gameplay, I don't know of another person to person swordplay game arround, and that they have included the 3 options shows merit on their part.

What about Mace Windu. His actual style or speciality is with two sabres. Although not shown in the films, I dont think the sabres were introduced just to impress, but more as part of the Jedi's history.

Two saber fighting is part of the Jedi's history. Mace Windu's style specialises in using two. I dont think JA took the style only from the 10 secs of Anakin using two sabers in EpII.

I also agree that Anakin and Ob1 do a really good job. However, I do think that EpII missed the fighting charisma that Darth Maul had in EpI, including his natural talent.

I think a little more work could have gone into the choreography of both the dual saber movements in the film, and in JK:JA.

The film I will let off, because Hayden Christensen isn't really an action scene fighting actor (neither is ewan mcgreggor for that matter, but I think he does bloody good). Perhaps some more training, or just someone else to stand in for the lightsaber fights with dual sabers.

As for JA, the movements just look sloppy with no rythm :D

p.s. About darth maul, Ray Parks (who played maul in epI) is trained in loads of martial arts and is the mutts nuts basically, I don't think having a single saber would have done him justice...
