Good point Duffman. I think that whole concept is the conerstone of ROTJ. Luke was saying "I will not fight you" but in the end he had to. The Emperor knew this and was trying to use it to turn Luke to the dark side. It's the paradox of using violence to destroy evil. Lucas only mentioned those little buggers once. It also enters the grey area between what is agresion and what is defence. is stoping someone from attacking another defence or an attack? Is striking down an enemy in a fight agressive if you were merely defending yourself? in the strictest sence of the phrases in the jedi code and everything else considerd, a jedi SHOULDN'T kill at all, even when defending him/herself. Yet Obi-wan killed people, Qui-gon killed people, Luke killed people, and they were jedi. Yoda and the other masters had the chance to scold obiwan and qui gon, yet i saw no such scene in the movies. I hear the phrase "There is no light or Dark it's how you use them" a lot. Remember that it was Kyle who said this and a master he is not. I side with Yoda when he says use the Force for knowledge and defence never attack. When you use use the force to kill someone chances are you are killing midichlorians too and I doubt that is the will of the force. _______________ Honor those better than you would yourself. |

Jk3 wise, i use light side because it is the harder way use ur knowledge and skill of the lightsaber as ur only means of attack, while using absorb and neutral powers 2 ward of incoming attacks. My JK3 FF style comes from the movies, as the force is to only be used in defense never attack, which matches my personality, im a projector, i project my friends and family at all costs, use my abilities(my giantness comparable to the force) to protect those who need it. Everyone feels the emotions of the darkside, its how u handle it which and bounce back which makes u a servant of the light or a servent of darkness _______________ Come on now, every Generation X boy wanted to be Luke Skywalker. Is it because he was a whiney farm boy from some backwater hack planet? No, it's because he was a FREAKING JEDI. He could block lasers with his lightsaber. He could levitate droids & rocks & crap with his mind. Come on, he choked two pig dudes with just a simple gesture. He cut off Darth Vader's hand and kicked him down a flight of stairs. He got his @$$ zapped by lightning from the geezer Emperor, stood up and said "s'at all you got b!tc#??" |
