I'm just going out from the defense from my thesis. And they told me I will graduate  FYI my thesis was about "Service Oriented Architecture". And I will graduate from a university of applied sciences (between a bachelore and a master). well you are eglible to do a PhD thesis, though, right ? or do you need other exams ? Im doing a Fachhochschule too (or Uni for applied sciences, for the germanically challanged ), and here its different.We also have a course very similiar to yours here. Well, I am a hardware developer, but catched up with this company during my internship. And working there is kinda cool, so Im doing my thesis there as well. Yep, I know it's kinda short. It's why it's between a bachelore and a master and it's full-time. Usual thesis here in Switzerland are made during an academic year so they are 8 months with classes beside. So you surely aren't going to work more than 3 full-time months. You just will have more time to think about it. It will be a lot longer if you wish to do a phd In the type of uni I was those thesis are in principle made for the school. Like you explore a particular theme that is kinda new in the domain and then the uni will use it to open discussion about it with customers. Interesting you will do about Data Warehousing. nice, Kha wow, 3 months for a thesis is pretty short. so either it was easy, or you sire, rock well Im into electronic engineering, but currently working in the logistic field. My thesis will be here also. Thanks all Grad I'm sry but as Fizz said you need a mic even if you're never using it  The exact swiss term is only in french and german as I receive it before the swiss studies will be standardized on the european schema. German : Wirtschaftsinformatiker FH (Fachhochshule) French : Informaticien de gestion HES (Haute Ecole Spécialisée) Since the standardization they removed about one year of classes to be able to call it a Bachelore (it's crazy coz only 6 months left before a master...) So with the old system it's between both of them. My thesis (or wathever you call it in english) was 3 full-time months (around 650 hours). And one month more at the end for preparing the defense of it. What am I going to make right now ? The answer is really simple : trying to improve my JKJA skills Nah in fact, I'm going to find a job in an english-speaking land.
