What do you guys think the best level to change to Jedi at is? My personal favorites: Soldier/Guardian 6/14, so you get 14 feats (every soldier level and odd-numbered guardian levels) and 15 (so 3 triplets and 3 duets) force powers. This one also works quite well as 2/18 for a slightly more force-oriented Guardian with less combat feats. Scout/Sentinel 8/12. Not sure of the exact number of feats (not many), but 13 (3x3 + 2x2) powers added to FREE Implant III and Uncanny Dodge II (I think) are worth the lack of FP. Scoundrel/Consular 7/13. Not sure of the exact number of powers, but I know the Consular gets 2 powers at certain levels and I'm fairly sure it balances out. Scoundrel's Luck II (DEF +4) and Sneak Attack III (DMG +3d12) are excellent bonus feats, especially for dark siders who won't get the Qel-Droma robes and/or anyone who loses the Dueling DEF bonus by going 2-weapon. Only a meagre 7 feats though - my preference was Dueling x3, Critical Strike x3 (-1 free), Lightsaber x2 (-1 free), and Toughness x1. Errr...its definately not gonna work if u are using it as your primary gfx chip. Interesting pooint.. but they could of delivered the fact that its in the past a bit better... guess you can't tell with Star Wars... but you still don't get flattened Sabers in the later Star Wars.. thats the only thing that gets me :p _______________ Rawr.

Just remember the Old Republic is already over 20,000 years old at this point. That means a lot of the technology has been around for longer than even we could conceive. From hyperdrive to blasters to turbolasers to lightsabers. You can't expect "new" technology to come along. What you can however expect is improvements. Consider the fact that shields, blasters, turbolasers, ship armor, and hyperdrives keep improving. Everything is improving at the same rate so there doesn't appear to be a difference because each offensive improvement eventually meets its defensive equivalent. If you compare the old technology to the new technology though...An Imperial Star Destroyer would shred the Leviathon in minutes without receiving damage. The Millenium Falcon could outfly the Ebon Hawk no problem and probably destroy it easily. And those personal energy shields would have a hole blown through them in a single blast by a Stormtrooper carbine. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. I didn't really enjoy the framerate, particularly with the way ATI drivers would alternate between breaking KotOR and then letting it work again (i.e. switch between the two with each release). Also, how many times in the SW movies do you see a stormtrooper whip out a big-ass sword and start dueling a Rebel D&D style? _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |
