How do i add fires to my map? And how do i add mover brushes for doors and such? You don't need to download any effects files for fires (and other effects you have seen in the default MP/SP maps). Don't know if different compiles would affect whether you get a fire effect or not. Maybe you need to have a light compile, not sure. Make sure your game settings are set so that you can see those effects, that can be a problem sometimes. Hmmmm. Doesn't work. which compile creates the fires? Yes, maybe that wasn't the best link. Check out the tutorials in the permanent thread at the top of the editing forum. These aspects of mapping are well explained in the tutorials.
