IRC is the stereotypical 'chat room' sort of thing. MSN is all one-on-one (mostly  ) conversations. They *can* both work the same way, but IRC broadcasts to everyone in the same channel as you by default, whereas MSN sends only to people you select. _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |
