lol, man i hope i can stay with her through college, i know it won't be easy....i'm a senoir in HS, and shes a junior...next year i will be going to a college about 2 and a half hours away....but the year after that, she plans to attend a college thats about a 18 hour drive, in the opposite direction, thats going to be the truly hard part -Dice _______________ Dicemaster |

Dude, its up to you, trust me going to university does not mean you HAVE to split up. If thats what you want, to try and experience new things, then yes university is a good chance to go do that. However, thats not what everyone wants, and many couples make it at university, even when seperated by huge distances. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't, and yes even for those that make it there are very tough times, but there are in any relationship. So at the end of the day its down to whether you want to stay together, and how strong you are. Putting a deadline on it and getting into the mindset of 'oh we will definitely split up' is what will break your relationship, not university itself. I've seen it happen, a couple are convinced they will split up, and although they try, because they were expecting it and prepared for it they do, rather than holding on that little bit longer to get through the trauma of the massive change in lifestyle university brings. Don't get into that mindset if you want to be with your girlfriend, and don't listen to all the people who say that you have to split up before uni because thats what everyone does because frankly its BS. Take each day as it comes, and if you are strong enough you can make it through much worse things than going away to uni.
