Hey everyone, I am sure hoping that someone can help me out. I am wanting to read the books in the Clone Wars series, basically everything from EP 1-3. I'm on the seventh book in NJO series now. Awsome series I think. Like any series, some books are beter than others. The plot itself is awsome. And speaking of books. Anyone tell me what happened to Kyle Katarn? I havent seen him in any books. Thrawn Trilogy is a must. Best series ever, and I think that this series that was a pivitol point in making the Star Wars books what they are. Else, they'd just sit on the shelves, and not be all that popular. Also, as the current poll indicates, do the Clone Wars. What is interesting is that, in the movies, I think Lucas wants to keep the Clone Wars hidden. Episode II ended with Day Zero of the Clone Wars, and Episode III will begin when the Clone Wars is wrapping up. So read the Clone Wars comic adaptation, and, oh.... Labyrinth of Evil That book rocks. And it ends, basically right at the opening crawl for Episode III. Obi-Wan and Anakin jump into hyperspace at the end of the book, only to emerge at the beginning of Episode III (wow, Episode III starts with a shot of a ship? That's what they did in, um, IV, V, VI, and then I and II.) And DO NOT NEGLECT..... Republic Commando: Hard Contact. The reason being, is that the rest of the Clone Wars books follow the Jedi. And I tell ya, the Jedi don't do a hell of a lot IN the clone wars. They're on the fringe. This book follows the commandos, and you get a great, great perspective on the Clone Wars. It's like Saving Private Ryan, you have to see it in the soldiers' eyes. You can't properly tell a war story from the eyes of the Commanders and Generals. You have to follow the soldiers. Also, for fun, X-Wing: Solo Command is also one of the best books I have read also. Great comedy in that, and you get a real feel for the pilots. I love it. Read it I think over 5 times. Great stuff. But clone wars, definately, because it will make Episode III that much better, because they WILL refer back to things from these books (though for most audience members, it will be "we had a nasty run-in with him on Jabiim" and they'll just go "Oh, ok, they met him before". But the ones who read the books, know the WHOLE story of Jabiim. And no, that's not a spoiler, I made that up.) So, hope this helps ya. I want some more Star Wars books. Well the best way to read them is by timeline. You'd wanna read all 14 young Jedi Knights B4 you start on NJO.
