i mean, that i made a pacticly waterproof map and set to BSP-Meta. I originally anticipated the leaks showing up goin through spaces between the brushes, BUT NOT THROUGH GLASSED WINDOWS!! maybe it is a wrong texture although i realy doubt that.

about caulking or making the brush around the map; i've done that, AND THE WAMPA LEAK LINE JUST PASSES THROUGH THE WAMPA LEAKED WALLS!!!!!!!!!!!1:mad::mad:no offense ment to any of you, just to the program!! And i'm using GtkRadiant 1.3.0 (or something with 1.3)

that's cause the 1.4.0 version wouldn't BSP:(

and one other thing...there's an entity's stick point somwhere in my map and that's the grand problem: not only the leak is connected to it, i also can't delete it!!:confused::(

HEEEELLLLLLPPP!!!!!!!

Well, I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but you could try drawing a Brush around the entire map, applying the "caulk" texture from the "system" texture set on the Textures menu, then hollowing the Brush out using the Selection > CSG > Make_Hollow menu.

Or, you could create a Sky Box by doing the above procedure, but instead applying the "Bespin" texture located in the "skies" texture set.

I say this, assuming you're using GTKRadiant 1.4.0. :D

Oh, and how do you handle leaks that come through the windows(through the middle of the glass)?:mad:And how can i stop them?
If i don't find a solution, i might as well stop makin maps:(.

Congratulations. :) It's definitely far better to start with the basics and expand.

I tried out the tutorials u mentioned...It worked for some of my other problems, but it seems that Radiant Just likes me so much, it made a few new ones: LOL!!
Anyway, somehow my portals weren't identified by the program, thus i can't reform them(i don't even know what the wampa they are:confused:).
The worldspawn is messed up somewhere in the entitiyes tipe and can be fixed by only reinstalling(..done).
The -meta compile only showed the shaders and leaks(about 354 leaks needed to be fixed).
I then reinstalled the whole thing, installing to the directories that were specfied through the process... the shaders that weren't there before showed on.
But as it is;.. i got tired of finishing the never-going-to-be-done-map, and decided to learn from my mistakes:
I made a few quick duel maps using the forums, tutorials and all the other wampa, just to see how
things work:Elevators and water(basics...)
And -thanks to you all- they worked.:):alliance::D

As this sounds like a first map, I doubt there are any area portal brushes in it. I may be wrong. However I think the error is referring to vis portals that are calculated when you compile.

Try just doing a -meta compile, which doesn't calculate any portals, and see if that works. This is useless for final compiles because there is no lighting, and the .bsp file it creates is basically a lot of junk, but at least you will be able to see if it is the vis process causing the problems.

Please let us know what happens there, and if you could get some more exact details on the error message that will help too.

This may sound weird... BUT, get rid of all your area portals and try again.
