The GT series is probably the best racing series out there for the Playstation game consoles. One title that I'd recommend that I don't often see mentioned is Pro Race Driver 2. I have it for the PC, and it's available for Xbox and PS2 as well. While it's not the most realistic sim on the market, it's also less "arcade" than NFSU. I'd easily compare it to the NFS 5 someone mentioned earlier. I've raced the wheels off of just about everything in this game, as I'm a member of a team that put together a "hotlap recorder". Basically this app records your best single lap times (without cutting corners or using cheats), and compares you to other drivers from around the world. Before I moved on to other games, I was consistently in the top ten drivers worldwide. (Even after my retirement I'm still in the top 50 just from the times I'd posted...hehe) There's going to be another PRD game, it's due out this winter...TOCA Pro Race Driver 2006. It should up the bar even more from what I've read so far. I'm a big fan of racing games in general. I've played a fair number of PC racing sims, and used to race in online leagues in the NASCAR series of games...so you'll almost always get an opinion from me about this type of game.  _______________ http://steamcommunity.com/id/citizen059 |

I agree, i actually prefer NFSU and NFSU:2 to all the GT games just because MOST of the cars are cars you find on the roads a lot e.g VW Golf (the car i have, YAY), Honda Civic, Ford Focus, Mazda Rx-8, Mx-5 (Miata) etc. However NFSU is a bit too 'arcadey' IMO. Hmm altho i still couldnt afford most of them brand new _______________ The Tao blood will never die...and it will run through every age of Time there is to come. I've played GT2 on my PC with an emulator.. That one was allright, since it still had the used cars market.. I would absolutely go and buy a PS2 if GT4 would've used cars innit.. There's just no touch to the game when everything you buy is completely new.. I could never afford anything like that in RL..
