Which do you like better, the new movies or the old movies? Personally, I like the old ones better in every way, acting, storyline, humour(even the special effects! alot of the computer animated stuff looks annoyingly fake to me) But if you disagree that's okay! What do you like about the new movies? I'm interested to see if other big Star Wars fans think alike! I like both the new movies in different ways. The old ones are classic movies that i grew up wathing. I believe that the Newer ones didnt have that static badguy, although Maul was kool, he got killed. I love the sarcastic banter in the old movies. The characters manage to act fairly casual even when they're falling in love or finding themselves in mortal danger. Just makes them seem more heroic and brave. The humour is very natural and believable, nobody fishing for laughs, but still really funny. In the new movies, they get extremely serious throughout much of the movies, lots of emotion, which isn't like the old movies, but it's cool. But then they stick in uber-goofy, fake-looking Jar Jar and stupid puns by C-3PO at the worst possible moments. well I think Jar Jar plays 2 roles. Comic relief and the fall guy to who gave Palpatine control over the senate by initiating the vote. As for Anni, he's a kid, he played the part. I don't think he's old enough to realize the role he took. I don't think EpI was boring really. 'lil Ani and Jar-Jar Binks was nearly the best in the movie! Didnt Jar-Jar make you laugh any time!? And What is wrong with Anakin!? And at least.. how can you not like Ewoks!?.. They are so cute bouncing around in the trees! But sure you can think as you want to Anyways.. I'm thorn... sure, Ep. I had some very annoying elements (like Jar Jar and 'lil Anni), and it's largest action sequence - the Pod race - bored me... But eh, getting the old trilogy on dvd made me realise that the Gungans is not much worse (a little though) than th Ewoks - and that the Pod race sequence was no more dull than seing the second raid on a Death Star (come on, 1 time was more than enough!)... All in all, I think I rate Ep. II as the best one so far (in spite of the boring and too long romance sequences) - and Ep. I as the worst one. So it's a bit mixed for me. But I still like them all, and I'm convinced Ep. III will be a blast. |

The old movies, I think will always be better. They are what got most of us into Star Wars. old movies all the way! in new movies... hmmm even one of the most important thing : saber duels are very boring and very very uncool. i find art of saber movie better in saber duels than the new movies  ofcourse remember other things like dialogues... bah that most boring dialogue in history between queen and anakin in EP2... its a shame i remembered that horrible part of SW _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. I am beginning to apriciate the new movies more and more. In my opinion EP1 had the most all out action of any in the series. Let's face it, the duel of the fates was pure ownage! Also notice how many times Qui Gon uses the mind trick. It's not real obvious at first but in retrospect he was controlling the outcome of almost every event. Of course however, I grew up on the originals and ESB will always be my personal favorite! _______________ Honor those better than you would yourself. |

I hoping RotS will be a class of its own. Sure they were good and everything, but look at the Special Effects in the New Movies compared with the Old Movies - I just think they're too unalike. Although, this could be due to the fact that I have Episode 2 on DVD, and the rest on Video. |

Why everyone hates the new movies?! I like Episode 2 that fight(Obi and Anakin vs Dooku) was awsome, and than Yoda vs Dooku was cool. |
