Think back. Think back to the days when Shadow Warrior ruled supreme and his sister game Duke Nukem 3D. Think back to when you looked at your Blood game box and thought, wow, multi level maps! Think back to when you owned such classic games like these and Dark Forces, Doom, C&C, AOE and more.

Think back to when you eagerly awaited the release of games like JEDI KNIGHT: Dark Forces II, Turok and Quake... 2 <_< Closer thinking of JK 1 would remind you of both SP and MP. Remember the FMVs? The weaponry? The great saying: "Lets see what this saber can do". Remember the truckloads of skins that came with the game.

Think back also, to when you awaited the release of an expansion pack known as Mysteries of the Sith. Got sourly dissapointed and then ignored it.

Think back to when you read about JK2 being released in a game magazine or whereever you heard of it. Then think back to when you bought it, when you first played it, and how long you went before cheating to change the color of your saber in SP and spawning loads of Reborns on the pit level after kicking Tavions ass.

Think back to when you heard that there was gonna be another JK game and you looked into it. Then think back to when you bought it, you played through the SP with the occasional MP interruption.

*Present day, four paragraphs and 11 years later* and oh dear, what the hell jus' happened? (:P Doesn't seem so long ago does it?)

JK1 was awesome for its time. The only drawback for me was the fact that it was so easy to hack online.

I remember playing it online @ Zone.com...it was fun when everyone stayed legit. Unfortunately, a large number of players hacked simply because it was so easy to do so. Kinda ruined it.

When I learned there'd be a sequel, I was glad...and the new game didn't fail to impress.

It only got better when the Academy opened, as it provided a place to play the game online that WASN'T overrun with idiots. Even the people who misbehaved on a frequent basis weren't all that bad. ;)

My gaming started back in the dark ages, with my Atari 2600. Which, by the way, I still own.

My PC gaming started back in the mid 90's, on a 133Mhz Pentium with 16 whopping megs of RAM. My biggest games at that time were NASCAR Racing 2 and Indycar Racing, both by Papyrus...and, of course, Quake.

Quake was also my first foray into online gaming. I had it installed on a bunch of the computers in the labs at college, and oh, how the admins hated me. Me and my buds would play on the LAN almost every day, and sometimes even venture online via QuakeSpy (which evolved into GameSpy). I wasted so many of my educational hours playing Quake (good times!), sometimes I wish I could go back to those carefree days. ;)

Speed is VERY fast if I remember, instead of strafe jumping, there is strafe running, and when you use seeing, enemies appear on your radar :o.

The old days ruled, I definetly got more excited over games than I do now. But as much as I miss those days, every new day seems to just get better and better (and in more ways than just games :))

These were truly great days imo.

Well, i havnt been playing JK1 at all.Maybe because it errr...wasnt as that known and revolutionary as JK2 was.
Oh i still know how extremly impressive these saber fights in JK2 were.It made me go "!!!!!" after ive seen the NPCs in lukes academy fight each other for the very first time.
