Hey everyone, I guess if you are interested in a HUGE spoiler....I saw the EP3 novel on the shelf at a store today.

I don't know what others think but I think it would totally ruin the movie if I read it first...I will wait until May 20th to buy it!! :D

Having read the screenplay (not the novel), I'd say you have a reason to be excited. This will definitely top anything else in the PT, if not the OT.

I think that if that is the case then I will definitely wait until after I have seen the movie to be filled in by the novel. I am so excited about the film that I do not want to know more than I already do :) Thx for all the posts so far, keep it up!

Funny...I just finished reading it 2 minutes ago! I won't spoil the movie for you, don't worry. I think the book follows only part of what's in the movie, anyway. There are scenes shown in the preview that weren't in the book at all.
It's pretty well written, and goes into depth on the nature of the Force and Anakin's inner thoughts.

I am 95% done with the book, I would say that, anything left out of the book is not a pivotal point. So far everything in the book, has laid out enough for the movie.

The enjoyed this so far, nothing spectacular, it will definitely make a better movie. The one thing I did like is a lot of the insight I got into the characters, the problem with tranisitioning these to the movie, is that the insight was done in the middle of the action sequences.

I did read the whole comic adaptation, and that was OK.

I'm about halfway through the book, and the book is well worth the read before the movie. Yes, there will be things revealed that would be considered spoilers.

But there is so much pychological conflict and political manipulation, that the book gives a much richer experience. When I go to see it on the big screen, I will be able to know of this conflict, possions, desires, etc, that are impossible to show on the big screen.

It just gives about all the characters much more depth. It will at least make the movie much more enjoyable for me.

I just finished the novel (the Stover novel...i didn't even know there was a junior novel until i read this thread, that's just silly :P) but anyway, I read the book and loved it. For me the book won't spoil anything, all it does is allow me to appreciate the movie even more :D

Good. Patricia c. Wrede's books are "Jr. Novelisations", and they're pathetic. I'll be getting Stover's book, though... but not until I see the movie, i really don't want to ruin it.

:alliance:I just saw a Star Wars novel out at Wal^Mart like 4 nights or so ago. Dont exactly remember the title but it was something like "Untold stories of the Jedi" ....It takes places between the clone wars and return of the sith and some parts of it was during the Qui-Gon days. Looked nice but I left my wallet at home (hits head in frustration):alliance:

The one by Matthew Woodrow Stover? Or the one by Patricia C. Wrede, assuming she does one for episode III...

I've read the Comic Adaptation. There are a few spoilers in that, I think maybe 2 or 3 things. The rest of it, if you are a fan, you can probably figure out, so not spolers at all. I still know, since I read the Episode II comic adaptation then as well, that there will be some scenes that are NOT in the comic or the book, that Lucas wants to keep wrapped up. He did it with Episode II.

Also, if you get some of the action figures (like Dooku) you can pretty much figure out how they die. Just look for what parts are, ahem, REMOVABLE.
