Skinning help (concerning the custom model skins) | |

The custom model skins such as human female, zabrak, etc.. I did a reskin of zorav2 but i didn't really want all those different options. I only wanted one. so it was a little bit tricky but i finally figured out how to make it work. It worked in Modview, and i changed my preferences to be set for the default skin.. chucked the other stuff, including the images and stuff like b1_head.skin and stuff. since i only need the default.skin ya? and i didn't include the other jpg's since they're not going to be included.. i changed the names and file extentions to match my skin name/folder. i could send a pk3 file since i guess that would be easiest. i included the shader files and renamed it to the same skin name/folder (alexis.shader). I'm not really sure what i missed. this is my first skin tho, so perhaps i missed something completely obvious |

tailon, how ever cool it was to watch and the funky accent/voice, it wasn't very helpful. Tho i guess it is reassuring that it wasn't anything simple i missed. i dunno. i'm guessing there might be a few more steps involved if you have tried to edit a custom skin |

I'm no professional skinner, but I know quite a bit. I've got skins to work in-game, so I could have a look if you like. I just can't think much of what could be wrong from that description. |
