So I have really really started enjoying this mod a lot. I have never baen a fan of JK3 sabering, JK2 was not really how I would expect saber duels to go, but I did find it more fun. This mod actually does make saber duels seem more realistic. No need for all the silly jumping and rolling around we do in base JKA. It would be really cool if we could setup one of the lesser used JA server with this so more members could try it out. I've tried it, a few times, and not once did I see a difference between MB and regular siege. Someone care to explain exactly what I'm missing? I heard about this whole point based system and all, but I just don't see it when I play the game. Well, the servers are full of kids who like to insult eachother, kind of like Counterstrike on Star Wars steroids. But if you're willing to look past that, Movie Battles has some great rewarding gameplay. Saber combat is indeed more movie like - you either love it or hate it, but it's hard to disagree with that statement. Hardly any jumps, no rolls, and a lot of defense. If anything, MB delivers in the duel area of the game because it has such great moments. It's hard to describe why I like it so much, but have a bit of patience with it and you may learn to love it. Jedi duelling, especially at higher levels of the game (it's a point based system, so the longer you play and win, the better your defense and assault gets) is absolutely great. It relies on patience and timing, even more so than normal JK3 play. |

Oro? Oh crap, is it that one sabering mod where it has a bunch of circles flying all over the place to target what to attack and where to block and WTF? Or am I thinking of something else? Yes, I believe I've played Movie Battles before... Or maybe I ran out of computer space and couldn't download it... Or something. I remember checking it out. I was (and am actually still) on the development team for Movie Battles (on the forums, check out the user with profile ID #1  ), but because of time constraints I haven't been able to dedicate as much of my attention to it as I would have liked to. |

Really you don't think it more movie like than regular JKA? IMHO, in JKA people are jumping around fliping, rolling, and stuff I have never seen in the movies. In movies battles, its not exactly movie like, but if a Sith and Jedi are alone, they will be blocking and trying to get at each others back/open side. There isn't so much jumping that really doesn't make sense. Lets list a "few" adjustments: Completely revamped User Interface New Classes each with thier own abilities New Saber System And you get to customize each class, based on points system (like Jedi do in base JKA) Yea, one or two new things not like it doesn't change the game completely...... I'm if your like Virute played it and hated it, thats totally understandable, it is a lot different.
