Hi! There is a new game coming out on April 28th (I think) called Guild Wars. It looks so good IMO. Its an MMORPG with NO SUBSCRIPTION FEE! There is over 750 skills for each class, and of course, each character can be two classes. Furthermore, unlike other RPG's you can destroy pretty much anything (I think) e.g. You can destroy bridges which people need to use! Was anyone thinking about getting this? It uses a system that's a little bit different from servers. The game keeps towns from getting overcrowded by creating districts, which are just versions of the same town running in parallel. There are different home districts that are specific to whatever region you live in, but all players can meet together in a town regardless of where they live, provided that they are playing on the designated international districts. Okay, I've gained a bit of information on this game from the thread. Sounds awesome  Are there different servers to log onto? If so, you guys should try to collect together on one server. GUILD WARS ROCKS! My Early Access has just ran out, and my copy is sitting at the post office atm. My character is called Sharingan Sasuke (Lvl 7 Necro/Elementalist, however I will be making a new one called Uber Pea (hopefully) tomorrow. It explicitly states that online play is free, so if they start to charge there will be lawsuits. Remember they have a different business model. Future "chapters" will require players to go out and buy more software, not pay a monthly fee. My favorite part of Guild Wars that I've seen so far is the graphics. Wow. I mean, come on, MMORPGs don't really give much to graphics because of the massive lag that would result from good graphics. The beauty of the game is that they don't have to overload their servers with tons of people on at once. If your soloing it doesnt have to load all the other in the world or if your grouped, it will just load them. And it does this all while using alot of files stored on your cpu and not their server. They have a lot of time b4 the servers get clogged. Yes, you are correct. Guild Wars isn't a "Im uber cool, I play million hours, I have uber level, Im better than you!" In Guild Wars, it is all about skill and tactics and urm... fun Thats why Im looking forward to it so much It means people who spend hours on it aren't necessarily the best. _______________ ------------------------ |

If I'm correct, the maximum level that can be reached in guildwars is level 20. Therefor not hammering on grinding to gain levels, but instead to emphasize it on tactics. |

Besides which, your comment about being a high level leads me to believe that you've done little to no research on the game; why should we listen to you, then, if you know next to nothing about the game or Arenanet?
