Hey Guys I've been getting a flood of comments from many rumor mills as it were about a Star Wars X-Wing T.v. series, anybody have any proof to help make light of this?? _______________ Look unto me for I possess the blue flag!! I think having the NJO series would be awful. It fails to live up to the atmosphere of Star Wars in any way, shape, or form. It's become just another ridiculous sci-fi series that could just as easily live on its own. I view it as blasphemy. An X-Wing series could be interesting but I hope it has nothing to do with the books because I don't think they would translate very well to television at all. My personal hope is that the series will be something like a Clone Wars cartoon, but live-action and focusing on different characters. I too heard of the rumor of extras being used as story fodder. I think that would prove both interesting (in that it fleshes out various areas of the Star Wars universe) as well as maintain some spirit of Star Wars. _______________ © |

Wes Janson, I beleive. X-Wing series is pretty good. I just think that NJO has a ton of material, and they don't really have to worry about who to pull as actors. Yeah, you still have a Han Solo, Skywalker, Leia, and the droids. But about 25 years after ROTJ, you could cast just about anyone for them (or even the original, has been 25 years for them). The rest (Jacen, Jiana, Kyp, etc.) could be cast by just about anyone. So they already have a story, they could easily do 7 seasons of NJO. But a new storyline somewhere else would probably be the best for them. And that's what they are leaning on, is telling a story that has not been told yet, instead of making a TV series out of an existing story. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. Yeah I voted for Rogue squadron, but I think if they did try to do it they would just end up butchering the whole thing and I would walk away with the same feelings I got from the prequels. I went to celebration III and my dad stood in the freezing 40 degree weather in the rain to see George Lucas himself, and he did!. The TV show between III-IV will most likely concentrate on the rise of the rebellion, I think. It'd be quite suited to a TV show style, as you'd have a fair bit of talking and character development that could continue over 100 episodes with a space battle or blaster fight every now and again. _______________ My Father: "How come Bobo Fett wasn't in that one?" ummm not sure what to vote for. The TV series planed looks like it will be between III and IV. There is not any previous strories for this period except Lando and Han stuff. I think alot of the other areas Rougue Squadron, NJO have been covered quiet extensively by the books. All I can hope for is something as well thought out as Battlestar Galactica. Whatever happens We will be waiting at least a year. I think that bits personnally, from what I see and hear for Ep. III ALOT of jedi die which means there isn't going to be to many left for the t.v. show to center on which will mean not very much jedish stuff for the show. I read on a movie news page today that Lucas was doing a live action TV show featuring supporting characters from Episode 3, and also plans to go ahead with a 3D animation sequel to the Clone Wars cartoon, or something.
