Heh, I decided that I will try to get a MMORPG game. And I'd like to know which one you recommend. First I got my eyes onto WoW. Since it really is "WOOOW!". Probably the highest on my "scale". But some people said that Guild Wars was a "MUCH" better game. (probably because it's cheaper) Then, what about Matrix Online and SWG? (Please post "why" you decided for a game.) |

What is Guild Wars about? Also, I play Final Fantasy XI and it is a solid game. However, if you play you usually need people to help you with everything in it. @_@ Leveling at first is a snap, but then you need parties and then key items to open up popular partying places which would be extremely difficult if not impossible to do it alone. Just be ready to try to make friends quickly because it's hard to play if you don't. A number of us at the JA play and could probably help you. Well, I have only played one mmorpg so far and that is SWG. As such I can't say that it's better or worse than the others but I will say that it is/was a very fun game to play especially the first few months, but you have to keep going for you targets in the game. Choose a good server, and give it a try. It would mean investment of about $100(I think) for the game and monthly payments and if you want the Jump to Lightspeed expansion, but it was worth it to me. Galaxies has awesome scenery and nice proffessions, strong community and some cool people. A great star wars game. 512mb RAM or < helps too. I play WoW and Guild Wars. WoW is a great game, and fun to play, it's not as expensive as most games and plays well as an casual gamer. Be watchfull though that it is only really fun if you have ppl you know to play it with. GW and me was love at first sight. To be honest, I think it's the best game out there, if you want to go for a MMORPG that is ideal to just play if you like, whether it be half an hour or 6 hours. The graphics are great, as is the music, you don't need a good system or a lot of money. Plus that the team will continue to add stuff and the players that are on GW are really nice. That's a good point. It's not so much which people tell you they like more as why they tell you they like it more--that will tell you a lot about whether you would like it too. Update on Face of Mankind: I downloaded and installed the beta client, and the UI almost gave me a siezure. :O It still looks cool, but the beta is, well, a beta like it says. _______________ My signature is only one line. Personally I like SWG, I like that it't not 'levels' that you're grinding for, but professions and they are absolutely malleable. But I'm getting the most pressure from work to go to WoW. Literally everytime I go in to work my half of my managers ask if I've bought WoW yet. They spend large spans of time discussing preperations for future endeavors. Apparently it's pretty good. Or so I've been told. But then, 3/4 of my bosses don't actually pay for their accounts. So take that for what you will.  _______________ "It's because I love you. I'd have to go with Guild Wars when it comes out since it's the better buy for the price. 1 day to Guild Wars! /me explodes Not only is GuildWars less expensive, he graphics are better and I've been told by many players that the gameplay is more enjoyable. Guild Wars uses a technology called multi-instancing to create multiple copies of zones.
