My Mother showed this to me in the readers digest and man it was funny. A Flushable toilet brush warns: Do not use for personal hygiene An eletric hand blender used to blend, whip, chop and dice advises purchasers: "Never remove food from blades while the product is operating." A popular scooter for children cautions: "This product moves when used." This was discovered on a thermomenter used to take a person's temperature:"Once used rectally, the thermometer should not be used orally." |

People can figure out all these things. The problem is the personal injury attorneys who make a fortune whenever some moron does something stupid--"Negligence! There should have been a warning label!"...and soon there is a warning label. Nor is America the only place with such silly labels (though we do seem to take the cake). Imagine the warning label that will have to be applied to flourescent light bulbs after this incident. _______________ My signature is only one line. You're welcome. |

<xterm> The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? Can be applied to anything involving safety warnings. |
