Deus Ex : Invisible War | |

So, I got Invisible War with my new video card (I have shiny water on NWN now. Yay!) and it took me a while to finally install it. Well, since Tribes Vengeance decided to retard itself, I decided "hmm, I guess I'll install this." The introductory movie is pretty sexy, but I don't like how when you walk around it always seems to be night... at least where I am so far. ![]() So. I never. Played. Deus Ex. The first one. So my question is, how much info about the first one is needed to fully understand Invisible War? _______________ slorp This post was edited by Lian Del Rey on Jun 03 2005 01:24am. |

I dont think its trash.I really like how theyve managed to continue DX1's story in such an awesome way.The script is one freaking piece of literallical artwork, imo. Nevertheless, the gameplay has been screwed up a lot.Just the fact that there is only one type of ammo which fits all guns is totally ridicolous. All in all, its a must-have for everyone who wonders what happens after the events of DX1. Its screwed up gameplay makes it a very unenjoyable game though. _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here! Married to Kain. I must also agree, Deus Ex was an amazing game. Great story, great characters, great gameplay. I've played that game SO many times... Deus Ex: IW, I played one time then uninstalled. Total crap compared to the first one. If you like RPG's, and you like first person action games (which I know you do), then you owe it to yourself to find a copy of Deus Ex. _______________ http://steamcommunity.com/id/citizen059 |

DX1 was nearly perfect. I have no idea why they nerfed the gameplay for DX2. DX2 is still a great game with an awesome story, but I'd also highly recommend DX1. These days you can pick it up for about 5 bucks. _______________ When great gentlemens come together in a place. It could happen. All these gentlemen are Howard's family. Invisible War rocks. You don't need to know anything about the first one, up until the end, where you run into someone from the first. _______________ - Proud padawan of Kueller. - We really are at the beginning of it all. You actually dont need to play the first one at all to understand DX2.Although i would highly recommend it because DX1 is just so uberly extremly awesome. Youll just feel a bit different towards a few characters after having played DX1 first and eventually, it wont be so easy for you to pull the trigger on certain characters which had a huge role in DX1. What you actually get to know in DX1 is how JC ended up having this strange voice and what happened with the Illuminati during all these events. As noted already, a few key characters from DX1 get to play a role in DX2 which is always a pretty cool thing imo.You get to know their backgrounds and what they have been doing all the time in DX1, but you dont need all this info for beeing able to understand DX2 completly. Oh and btw, DX2 is really awful gameplay-wise.Ive just played it because its the sequel to one of the best games ever made (and because of the storyline of course). Ps: Its called "Deus Ex". _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here! Married to Kain. This comment was edited by Masta on Jun 03 2005 12:19am. |
