anyone had any experience with Crucial's Ballistix memory? thinking of getting two of their 512 sticks, DDR400 which means i'll have 2 256 sticks for sale, kingston, pc3200 i think (400mhz) if someone wants a good deal on some ram  _______________ this is the internet, be serious damn it! my bus speed is 400mhz, but 500mhz is compatable with it. figured go for the bigger better so when i upgrade or overclock i can take advantage of it. right? _______________ this is the internet, be serious damn it! |

oops i overlooked that lol good thing about that is if your mobo cant handle that high frequency of RAM it will reduce it to 3200 and the timing will go to 2.5-2-2-5 _______________ The Force is my ally, and a powerful ally it is. yeah, i know about memory timings. do they make the 500mhz sticks with latency that low? 2.5-2-2-5? that doesn't cost a billion dollars of course _______________ this is the internet, be serious damn it! |

CAS Latency (CL 2.5), Memory Timings: 2.5-4-4-8 for the price its worth it, but if you were to spend a little more you prolly wouldve gotten better timings, the timings you want to look for 2.5-2-2-5 thats the best timing now. Well I think it has to be the same kinda RAM as ur current 256's or they will conflick. Also My Computer for example, will only accept RAM chips of the same. I can't mix 256's with 512's.
