Yes, that's it. When Jerec goes off to heal himself, activate each of the two statues so that they move in. Once they do, go up to where Jerec is meditating and he'll no longer be invincible while he hovers there. Hit him and you'll disrupt his regeneration, then keep battering away till he is finished off. That's it as well as I can remember, anyway.

As far as duelling goes, hit and run attacks with the secondary fire slash are the best bet. That way he doesn't get much chance to hit you back. The sec fire slash is a good deal more powerful than primary fire. The art of getting really good with the saber generally is to learn the exact points in the saber swings where a hit is likely to connect, and making use of them. If you're getting battered, feel free to occasionally run away, and run around using and charging up force heal or bacta. Only sabers will inflict real damage on bosses. Other weapons have little or no effect.
