Ok I just saw the movie for the seconded time and while I was watching that part where sidious gets electrocuted and becomes ugly, I noticed his chin and his forehead look like butts! I dont think mace was because Sidious proably could have beaten him if he wasnt trying to turn Anikin. I think this was just another instance of the Emperor's manipulation over Anakin. Ani walks in, Emp says he's weak and can't fight, Ani thinks "well then he's defeated so we take him as a prisoner". Next thing ya know Mace's hand is gone and the Emperor has more than enough power to blast him out the window. Yeh thats a good point JavaGuy. That's why I sort of wondered if he wasn't using the Force or some other way to hide his actual appearence, and only reveals it then when he reveals himself as the Sith Lord. I dunno. Wasn't Mace pretty cool in that scene though. Jackson is heaps better in a position like that to me than being a wise Master in the council scratching his chin lol. Huh huh, huh, huh huh...Hey Butthead [/beavis voice] I liked how the lightning hit him in the face when Windu reflected it back at him, but I kind of thought it was unnecessary. In the original trilogy I always thought that the Emperor looked like that because he was using the Dark Side to extend his life through unnatural means far beyond the normal human life span. I don't know what was with that scene. It was so powerful and yet there was... something about it. I like to think that Palpatine had always looked like that, and just pretends to let his 'real' visage look like an electrocution to convince Anakin... I mean, I'm sure you can see bulges in the pre-Ep.III Sidious glimpses... |
