I really agree with Jon Stewart of the Daily Show; that we, as a nation, are saying: "So you share a bed with little boys. *shrug* Eh. Go on, move along.  "That's just wrong, on our part. Although, we really had a poor prosecution. The guy was whacko, yes, but there wasn't much there. I mean, Blake.....we had stunt man after stunt man get up there and say "Yeah, he asked me to kill his wife". And then the whole "Oh, I left my gun at the restaurant, and when I went back, my wife was shot in the head". And we didn't convict that? What made you think our system would convict Whacko Jacko? We all hoped, yes, but there was just not a good prosecution. He showed up in PJs, said he shared a bed with children, and, um, some of those that we put up to bash him ended up suppporting him, so that screwed the prosecution. Really, we just don't do a good job of justice. Between average jury members not knowing what way is up, witnesses that follow the dollar instead of the truth, and prosecution that tries to convict on defendant image and not on fact, it's no wonder we get screwy convictions. I do think he was guilty, and yes I have followed the story closely and know all about the sleazy history of the victim's family. I also believe, however, that there was reasonable doubt and don't fault the jury for acquiting. I do note, however, that whether the victim's parents were "just out for money" is irrelevant to the question of Mr. Jackson's guilt or innocence. It looks an awful lot to me like they deliberately put their child in harm's way, knowing all about Jackson's history, because they knew they could sue if he did anything. I don't know what really happened--that's just what it looks like to me, but even if that's exactly what happened it does not excuse Jackson. The only real reason to acquit is that the jury had reasonable doubt as to whether he did what he was accused of doing in this particular case, and I think that's exactly what the jury did. I think they looked at the evidence presented in court (which is all they're allowed to consider) and saw reasonable doubt. _______________ My signature is only one line. You're welcome. |

i always thought he was innocent, i think its morally wrong to trash talk him after wot hes been through, sure hes a human freak but that doesnt mean we can call him guilty when he was proven NOT guilty in a court of law PS calling him a human freak isnt trash talking him, i just think wot he did with himself was a bit freaky  _______________ If you add me to MSN, tell me who you are
