Hey dudes! First off, for those of you who don't know what machinima is, it's using video games to make movies. Me and a friend have been planning to make some films for a while now but we haven't had the actors we'd like to have to make anything more than some stealth mission-type movies using npcs. That's where you guys come in. We're gonna be using probably any of Jedi Academy, Unreal Tournament 2k4, or Half Life 2. Well, we've now kind of decided against using JA for machinima at all. There are some serious flaws in the engine that serioiusly ruin machinima movies, for example the detanator animations, you throw one and there's instantly another in your hand, plus walking animations in JA are subpar, people turn without moving a muscle and stuff. So right now we're down to UT2k4 and Half Life 2. The problem with UT2k4 is extremem lack of good npc support so we're going to need craploads of people to pull off anything good with it. However, if we can get enough people, we'll try some stuff with it. Half Life 2 seems like the best choice right now though, so if you have it, please let me know. In response to the what is ours about? It's not really a single project, we're doign several different videos and none are really planned out yet, because we're not sure of what kind of crew we'll have at our fingertips. Oh, btw, as of now, we only have one person with the stuff to film.
