well about the monthly u can pay 145$ up ront for a year and like 80$ for 6 months or 45$ for 3 months and 15$ for 1 month or u could just do the monthly fee (im doing the 3 month cuz i dont have much money at the time) _______________ (\__/) (O.o ) (> < ) This is Bunny. hehe Odan, I hated that it was possible to solo rancors and krayts with your bare hands, even though I never did, it's completely ridiculious. Sure all the stuff you guys are saying seem fun, and when you go to starwarsgalaxies.com the pictures look amazing, but go to the forums and read what the players are dealing with. It doesn't sound fun then, when SOE changes the game system for every class once every few days, where you have to be practicly ready to re-learn to play your character because they change something everytime you log on. That doesn't seem fun. and with that many jedi it's absurd! they're all dead!, but no, theres thousands of them running around with their lightsabers shown even when Vader the jedi killer himself comes down every 15 minutes and gives his destroying the rebels speech. The game used to be really hard to play, it took a long time to figure out, I remember many parent's bashing SOE for not making it easier like EverQuest. Well just like always SOE gives everything to everyone, except people who want it the old way, where it was unique. I remember when people heard they where going to change the game system, thousands upon thousands of people all went to theed infront of the starport screaming "nooo! don't change it!", because with the lag that theed already has, they where causing the server to crash, and the Dev's started kicking people out into the wilderness so the server wouldn't crash. Star Wars Galaxies was in developement for 5 years, and live for almost 3, and it's still not balanced. Give Orion a week and he could make a more balanced game _______________ Free Tibet! I played SWG about one year ago, before Combat Upgrade and I got bored very quickly because there was only grinding to do. So I sold my game copy and quitted. I bought the game again, with the 2 addon-s. And I don't regret it. the CU is just great, the system makes more sense and people saying that CU is not good are usually the ones that had uber templates and think it is quite normal for a single guy to kill a Krayt Dragon with bare hands... Now the system is group oriented, the professions make more sense, no more one-uber-template-that-kill-'em-all. The only thing I regret is the fact you can't wear armor till you reach Novice in one elite combat profession. Publish 17 fixed a lot of issues, and 18 will do make things quite interesting. Anyway, when I first played I thought SWG had a great potential but had a shitty system for combat and economy... No it seems the CU brought everything in order, with armors having a real value and use, no more uber doctor buff, I love the inspiration buff given by the entertainers (+10% to xp and faction points, and +10% of crafting successes) that lasts 3 hours and is quite easily renewed... ROOT is a spell ? erm no its a stopping shot, a shot fired at the enemies feet to stop them from moving in a forward motion. geez the combat upgrade is awesome, altho jedi are about to be shafted hard in the next publish and bunty hunters get a upgrade but it wont stop me playing it, learn to adjust to a game and it will continue to be fun, i spend my nights travelling from anchorhead and theed fighting in 40 man battles for imps and rebels, awesome fun, Sure there is a alot of jedi but that was gonna happen in a star wars game. Just play the combat upgrade for 1 week before making these rash statments on how SOE are evil. As for the TKM being god like pre CU, erm not hey wasnt Swordsman with a good Scythe would have no problem taking out a TKM. As for the selling of the accounts i think they have done something good there, i mean people were gonna do it anyway so why dont they make something that allows u to sell your character and they take a bit of the price, makes perfect business sense to me Everyone will probably say its ok for you your a jedi! but i worked hard to get my jedi and im still grinding hard to finish his template. I played SWG since the second day it went live, after 6 months of perfect playing they made Teras Kasi Masters gods, created buffs wich totally screwed over the fighting system, and totally ruined the game with jedi. It's Empire Strikes back Era for compassion's sake. I saw a screenshot with 30 jedi fighting eachother in theed, and Vader comes down every 15 minutes! in his shuttle! They even had to convert almost all of they're servers because so many people left. I'm never playing a game from Sony Online Entertainment again, they even broke they're own EULA by allowing to buy in game characters and in game items, with real world money. I'm not paying to play BETA, I mean the medics cast spells, CAST SPELLS FROM AFAR. You can even ROOT people, ROOT PEOPLE? CAST A SPELL AND ROOT PEOPLE IN A STAR WARS GAME? hahahahaha! They took a unique game with a very original class system and turned it into EverQuest with a flawed fighting system, with stormtroopers. I mean the guns don't even sound like starwars guns. Now they have spells and effects in a star wars game, but now it looks more like merlins castle adventures. You can even fight General Grevious, even though he's been dead for 30 years!, and you can fly the old X-wing from 30 years ago,even though there's the new one that's up to date! Combat Upgrade? more like don't tell anyone your changing the entire game over! It's a shame what SOE does, they take a great game and mess it up, but they didn't just screw off SWG players, they messed with star wars fans, people who will go out of their way to make a bad name for SOE. So SOE, people whine about wanting jedi, there's not supossed to be thousands of them, only one! yoda!. SOE, people whine about wanting to do anything, and you give it to them, even cast spells from afar on people like a magician, in star wars! _______________ Free Tibet!
