Essentially, I want to make a mod for JA based on the EU's 7 "Forms". This is particularly interesting to me because I'm getting somewhat tired of the current 3 stances after over 3 years of playing with them. This is a task that I will in no way guarantee I will complete. (In fact, it will probably fizzle out for some reason or other in short order.) However, until I decide to call it quits on this, I need help with a few things. The first order of business, since there is no graphic representation of the forms is to compile some still pictures and video clips of various lightsaber fights in the movies. Any clear images you can give me that would give some idea of the wielders stance, various swings and transitions, things like that. I then have to break down the various swings/transitions/etc and apply them to the form which best describes them. Hopefully, a decent compilation can help me develop some semblance of a form. Now, there are a few key areas I would like to mention, as there are a few places in the movies where someone uses a style similar to the form the EU assigned to them. For starters, Yoda and Qui-Gon are both said to be Form IV users and both do a lot of spinning/flipping style manuevers. Therefore, I would like to see some examples of them in their Maul and Dooku duels. Hopefully, Form IV can be worked out between them. Also, I have seen various sources label Maul as a Form VII user. I had trouble believing this until I remembered a part of the Maul/Obi duel... When Maul's saber is cut in half, he rallies on Obi and goes ballistic with a barrage of swings that could possibly fit into Form VII's description. I want some shots/clips from his going ballistic! (There is precious little for Form VII to come from, as the stunt coordinator, Nick Gillard, referred to it as a physical impossibility. Thusly, Mace never really uses it. The Maul instance is just the closest I can figure to it.) Anywho, if anyone is willing to help me compile some pics and video clips, it would be much appreciated! |
