Can I animate a model without 3d studio max? | |

Is there any tool (preferably a free one) for merging skeletons with glm models and weighting them and stuff besides 3ds max? 3d studio max is insanely complicated and expensive too for just that process. |

Thanks Ranius I'm downloading a couple things from there that might help. |

Quote: wait, your title says "animate". What do you mean by that? Animation requires a bunch of extra stuff that I have no idea about. I mean I have a model and skin but I need to merge the skeleton with it so I can apply the _humanoid.gla to the model so it'll work in the game. Carcass is involved via the Assimalate front end but I still need to do the skeleton thing first, before I can use Assimalate/Carcass. |

To model, weigh and animate it, I believe. I'm not sure if there are any other programs to do this. Try a Google Search. |

Try Carcass, found in the SDK. Please note that I have no idea what I'm talking about. EDIT: wait, your title says "animate". What do you mean by that?
