Ok if Im right then the only way to become a sith apprentice is to kill the current one. If this is right then in eposide one Obi-wan killed Darth Maul the current sith apprentice. Shouldnt he have become the next sith apprentice? But that would look wrong because obi-wan is a jedi in Eposide 4.

Obi-Wan's master was killed by the Sith. There's no way he would've been able to be turned.

Plus I think Palpatine liked using the all powerful Chosen One.

Yes but Anikin didnt want to be a sith apprentice when he killed dooku and yet Sidious persuaded him to. So by sith "laws" or something wouldnt he had have to do the same for Obi-wan?

just because the only way to be a sith is to kill one, doesnt mean that if you do, you have to become one.

Yes if you want to "BECOME"a Sith Apprentice. And I don't think Obi wanted to do that o.0

So if I didn't want to become an apprentice of the Sith, I'd just stand there and let the Sith apprentice kill me, for fear that if I killed him, I'd become the apprentice? It doesn't make any sense. Obi killed Maul... because Maul was trying to kill him. There is no connection anywhere between self-defense and becoming a Sith apprentice.
I couldn't explain this better man, good job.

I agree. A jedi doesn't become a sith merely by defeating one in a duel. :P

The only way to become a Sith Master is for an aprentice to kill his master, which is what I think your thinking of, any force sensitive being can be an aprentice. :)
